Summary: Wow! This sub-woofer really rocks! I couldn't be more pleased. Especially like the 'On/Off/Auto' feature at rear of unit. Read some reviews on other brands that did not have this feature. Hmmm. Looks great as well.
Summary: Extremely popular Sub woofer. Suits my needs perfectly. Until you have a sufficient budget ($$$) to invest in larger Polk's or JBL's this will do the job until then. I have researched the heck out this category and nothing else will touch this model for the money. Small footprint, adequate power and hook-up connections. Reasonable low end response and will balance perfectly with other speakers whether 2.0,5.1 or 7.1 setup. Usually available for around $100 or so.
Summary: I bought this after my 10" JBL bit the dust. I am extremly impressed with the quality of the speaker it has great sound for about half the price of my JBL. Used together with my old school type stereo 150W Harmon Kardon powering 2 studio quality speakers the sub woofer adds the lower bass missing in my speakers. You can set it to shake everything from the wall or just add some deep bass. I love the way it sounds during Nascar's "Crank it up".
Excerpt: I bought this after my previous sub (of another popular brand) prematurely died. I now have this Polk PSW10 along with RTi6 side speakers, a CS10 center, and two in-ceiling rear speakers. We're finally getting theater sounds out of our system. This thing has plenty of power for a 12 x 16 room with a 13' cathedral cieling and open concept to the dining area. We enjoy the sounds of action movies as well as all types of music from our extensive CD collection.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
