Summary: Wow! This sub-woofer really rocks! I couldn't be more pleased. Especially like the 'On/Off/Auto' feature at rear of unit. Read some reviews on other brands that did not have this feature. Hmmm. Looks great as well.
Summary: Extremely popular Sub woofer. Suits my needs perfectly. Until you have a sufficient budget ($$$) to invest in larger Polk's or JBL's this will do the job until then. I have researched the heck out this category and nothing else will touch this model for the money. Small footprint, adequate power and hook-up connections. Reasonable low end response and will balance perfectly with other speakers whether 2.0,5.1 or 7.1 setup. Usually available for around $100 or so.
Summary: I have this matched with Monitor 60 Series II for mains, a RM7 Center, and 4 RM 7 Satellite B's in the rear all powered by an Onkyo TX-SR706. The room 10'x20' is carpeted and has a couch and easy chair. The speakers are on the short sides of the room's Knotty Pine paneled walls. I have two Auralex bass traps and 4 Auralex 1'x1'x1' panels to help with reflective and low frequencies.
Pros: Newegg shipping has always been fantastic and I have been buying audio and computer components from them since 2009. I ordered the PSW 10 on Saturday and had it hooked up on Tuesday. When I look at the retail price of $249.99 and what I paid $85 w/tax I have to pinch myself. It arrived undamaged and, geek that I am, it had that brand new audio smell ;)
Summary: I bought this after my 10" JBL bit the dust. I am extremly impressed with the quality of the speaker it has great sound for about half the price of my JBL. Used together with my old school type stereo 150W Harmon Kardon powering 2 studio quality speakers the sub woofer adds the lower bass missing in my speakers. You can set it to shake everything from the wall or just add some deep bass. I love the way it sounds during Nascar's "Crank it up".
