Summary: I just needed a fairly small sub to replace a tired old 8" sub that came with a HTIB setup. This fits the bill very well. Bass is quite good and sounds good with music as well as movies. I have not pushed it but works well at medium to medium-loud levels.
Excerpt: I love this subwoofer for what I use it for in an average sized apartment room. I can't turn it up that loud because I'm afraid my neighbor will hear it downstairs and my apartment has good soundproofing. I'm no high tech expert but I'm extremely happy with this purchase. Also, the shipping was super fast and I would definitely order from here again.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Summary: This is an excellent product with a down-firing "dynamic" speaker. Its packaging includes cables and a jack for inputing a subwoofer signal from a single out plug into a dual, which the unit has in the rear with RCA type or hard wire. The unit was being fed by a new Onkyo Receiver with 110 watts RMS, my having to turn down the gain a bit on this small subwoofer. To that end it would have been better used for the smaller Onkyo that I had been using.
Summary: I was looking for a sub for my son's bedroom system. I'm a JBL guy but have had horrible experiences (mostly amps fried) with all but the most expensive JBL model subs so for less expensive subs I've gone to Infinity and Polk. These Polk subs must be on clearance to make room for an upgraded model because I've been seeing them everywhere for big discounts. For a fraction above $100 this is a real solid performer.
Pros: I was shocked at how much bass this 10'' sub puts out. Its small in size which makes you think its not going to give you deep loud bass but it does. It doesn't rattle at high volume and hold up to any song and movie I put on.
Excerpt: I currently have a Polk Audio PSW10 subwoofer running with in my household and it most defiantly gets the job done on a daily basis! The look of this sub it’s actually quite nice it’s not huge which it why this is a perfect fit for a small house or an apartment which I currently live in, and it isn’t so loud that My neighbors want to kill me every time that I turn it on.
Summary: I purchased this at a GREAT price and am extremely happy I did. For Home heater applications it really enhances the effects. Kinda hard to dial in but if you dont go overboard and boost it excessesly it brings out the lows that in my opinion make the movies feel more realistic. As for music it also enhances but the Polk Monitor 70's I have a great low end sound.
