First off, this is one of the better sounding subs I've heard for under 100 bucks. Has good punch and good response. The biggest detraction that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is port noise. If you really get some intense bass going at a louder level, this causes you to be able to hear the air coming out of the port. This detracts from the sound and I think the port needs to be a little bigger in diameter and placed in the back. Read more
I would not recommend this as your 5.1 or 7.1 or higher main sub for rooms larger then 14x12 or similar size. Larger rooms you would need to turn it up more and then you create the problem of port chuffing this sub is notorious for having. Annoying when you hear the chuffing noise. Read more

I got this Subwoofer on sale for $99 USD. I have to say it's worth the $99 but not the $199. I say that because it does produce a lot of port noise when the bass is loud and deep. It can't play notes lower than 35Hz. I know 8 inch woofer that can hit lower than that. It's a nice looking subwoofer matches the monitor series. It is loud for only being 100 watts. Has left and right RCA input jack for stereo receiver or for AV Receiver that give two sub out jack. Read more
The unit is OK but a little underpowered,so as long as youre not expecting bass to rattle the house, it is OK. I wise mine in my garage for music when working on the car its good for that. Read more
I use this product in a large Barn home with a small Energy bookshelf speakers. The cherry veneer is the same as my little speakers and does not pick up lint and dirt as the black color does. Polk is great. Read more

The Klippel Distortion Analyzer functions as optimizer to the subwoofer’s motor structure, voice coil alignment and suspension at extreme listening levels. The dynamic balance uses laser Interferometry method to analyze the speaker’s microscopic behaviour which tunes out unwanted resonance and distortion with selected combination of materials, geometry and construction techniques. It offers intelligent amplifiers which is able to channel more power to the subwoofer while using little power at low volumes or standby mode. The Polk Audio PSW10 features sturdy feet which keeps the subwoofer from sliding across the floor when played at high volumes.
