Paradigm Reference Seismic 110 Subwoofer

Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity
20 January 2011
  • Summary: The Paradigm Seismic 110 subwoofer is a freak. It is very small, lightweight as subwoofers go; yet capable of playing very loud, very low, and very clean. It will blow away subwoofers that are bigger, heavier, and in some cases, more expensive. Highly recommended!

Paradigm Seismic 110

What Hi-Fi?
20 December 2010
  • Excerpt: Subwoofers tend to fall into one of two camps: either they're small but limited, or massive and ever-so-slightly barmy. Paradigm 's Seismic 110 attempts an elusive Third Way: it's just 34cm high and 30cm wide, yet it features an improbably powerful 850W amplifier, all the better to assault your ankles with lashings of low- end energy.
  • Pros: Formidable low-frequency extension, agility, compact size, fine-tuning potential
  • Cons: Very little, save that the B&, W PV1 is a fair bit cheaper

Paradigm Seismic 110

  • Excerpt: Although I'm not as familiar with Paradigm as with some brands, I've now heard a bunch of its loudspeakers and have learned one essential thing. It uses lots of cone area in its kit, albeit by slapping lots of midrangers into the towers, or by cramming a 10in woofer into the sort of box most normal people would only use for an 8in. And the Seismic 110 is no exception.
