Summary: I bought this Martin Logan 300 Sub last week and have been using considerably this week and am very happy with my purchase. I am using it with my new Definitive Technology Incline speakers in my home office so it is not supposed to match my audiophile set up in my Rec room but it matches just wonderfully with the new speakers after a little adjustment.
Summary: I have finally found an end on my search for a subwoofer probably for much time to come. I've had three 12" subs before this one which were Polk, BIC Ameria, and Klipsch Reference series sub. I've had a good taste of a bigger sub and I absolutly loved them for that floor shaking low end they produced.
Summary: Bought to replace a 10" front firing subwoofer in my 12' by 14' living room thinking it might better spread the deeper bass around to different listening positions being downfiring, and I wasn't disappointed. Instead of corner placement though I put it in between my newly purchased Pioneer SP-BS22-LR satellite bookself speakers which are themselves highly rated by numerous magazines that review stereo equipment, and it now compliments my satellites that much better on...
Summary: Highly doubtful that you'll find a better subwoofer for the price. It's a smallish subwoofer, 8-inch driver (downward firing and ported) and produces nice tight bass - which is exactly what I was looking for. Would make a nice addition to a small home theatre setup, or in my case filling in the low notes on my existing two speaker desktop setup.
Don't spend much time looking for a good SUB... (this is IT) !

Summary: I give the MartinLogan DYNAMO-300 sub the full FIVE stars not only because it is inexpensive, but because: a) It is POWERFUL and delivers quite a punch (even though it's only 75 watts on an 8" driver) b) It is COMPACT c) It FILLS my 23' by 17' room easily (music or movies) d) It has a BEAUTIFUL finish e) It has all the features you would ask for (auto-on/off, line-level inputs, speaker inputs, crossover, level knob, phase switch, led indicator).
Summary: If you love accurate sound reproduction, rather than just looking at the spec sheets, this sub will surprise you. It works flawlessly if you listen to music (which is what I use it for mostly) as well as movies. MartinLogan matches their subs and other products to blend sonically with their electrostatic speakers (some of the best in the world!
Summary: A couple of these reviews crack me up on here in regards to this sub. Made in China? First of all you should be rating the sub on sound and overall impression. I consider myself an amateur audiophile but can definitely pick out bad subs with boomy, muddy slow bass response. I have also have many subs over the years in different rooms of our house. (Martin Logan, Definitive, Polk, Velodyne. This Dynamo 1000 replaces my Definitive prosub 1000 in my large basement.
Summary: This subwoofer has worked out perfectly for me. I have it setup with two small satellite speakers for the computer. It doesn't knock down the walls but adds seamlessly to low end frequencies when they are present in the track making the sound complete. Martin and Logan have put some nice touches and upgrades over similar units that tells me the unseen parts are higher quality as well. Of course the proof is in the listening and it is good!
