Summary: Highly doubtful that you'll find a better subwoofer for the price. It's a smallish subwoofer, 8-inch driver (downward firing and ported) and produces nice tight bass - which is exactly what I was looking for.
Summary: If you love accurate sound reproduction, rather than just looking at the spec sheets, this sub will surprise you. It works flawlessly if you listen to music (which is what I use it for mostly) as well as movies.
Summary: A couple of these reviews crack me up on here in regards to this sub. Made in China? First of all you should be rating the sub on sound and overall impression. I consider myself an amateur audiophile but can definitely pick out bad subs with boomy, muddy slow bass response.
A Quality Entry Level Subwoofer for both Music and Movies

Summary: I have MartinLogan speakers for both my home theatre (movies) and my family room stereo (music). This speaker does a great job with accuracy for movies and an accurate base response for music.
Summary: For a small sub it really produces a tight deep bass sound. I have it setup in my mid-size living room in a home theater setup. For movies it's awesome. Now it's not gonna be teeth and wall rattling booming. You are going to have to step up to a bigger size or use two of these.
Summary: I give the MartinLogan Dynamo 300 8” subwoofer five stars because it is a great product whose value goes far beyond its retail price point of $299. I bought mine through Amazon for $100, and as of April 2014, the sub can still be had for near that price.
