  • Summary: With low to very moderate usage this speaker made it 4 months past the 3 yr warranty. Shouldn't this speaker last longer than 3 yrs 4 months?
  • Pros: Base
  • Cons: Longevity

A Mar on the Martin Logan Reputation

P. Burdick "pataburd2", Amazon
8 November 2013
  • Summary: My one-star rating is about this unit's reliability. Mine started shorting and burning out mosfets after less than 300 hours of very light, low-driven use. I've written ML, and, while hopeful that they will make ammends, I am not holding my breath either. Too bad, because while the Dynamo was working, it made a fine compliment to my KEF monitors.

Lasted 2.5 years

Timothy D. Williams, Amazon

  • Summary: Purchased in 2010 to upgrade our Velodyne 8" that still works great to this day in my garage. Started making a loud humming noise a few weeks ago. Martin Logan wanted $100 to "look" at it out of warranty. For $70 I purchased a new Polk 10" here on Amazon that works fantastic and actually has more features than the Martin Logan, such as auto-sensing power on, L/R channel pass-thru w/ auto-crossover (if you don't have LFE output) and so on.
