Summary: Purchased in 2010 to upgrade our Velodyne 8" that still works great to this day in my garage. Started making a loud humming noise a few weeks ago. Martin Logan wanted $100 to "look" at it out of warranty.
Low quality subwoofer. Sounds great while it works, but it has a short life.

Summary: I bought mine in 2011 to use in our family room home entertainment system. As background, we have little children, so we really aren't playing a lot of loud music or movies. In fact, we don't really watch that much TV at all. So the unit has only been through what I would describe as very light use.

Summary: Mine lasted about 3 years until the back plate went out causing a loud grumbling noise even when turned off. Warranty just expired and cost about $260 to fix (yourself). I would not purchase this subwoofer.
Summary: My one-star rating is about this unit's reliability. Mine started shorting and burning out mosfets after less than 300 hours of very light, low-driven use. I've written ML, and, while hopeful that they will make ammends, I am not holding my breath either.
Summary: paid alot of money for this sub after a year and a half it made a very loud noise (my wife thought a car hit the house)and that was that. All itt does now is hums very quietly...Im assuming the amp blew,i wish a would have paid extra for the warranty.
Summary: DO NOT BUY. Read the other reviews about the humming! After 2 years of minimal use, mine started humming one day. It even hums when all inputs are disconnected which means the problem is with the unit (not an exterior source). This is a $500 piece of junk.
