Summary: This sub will rattle your soul, clean enough bass to handle any type of music including crisp edm, makes movies come to life. I upgrade to this from the 8 inch pioneer Andrew Jones sub and that one was pretty good but this makes a world of difference.
Summary: Everything I hoped for and then some. Shipped on time, thanks Amazon, 2 day shipping. . It is quite big so make sure you check dimensions before committing. This is my first powered sub, I've always used towers with a separate amp, but I thought I would take a chance, not at all disappointed, actually impressed. Solid bass clear sound. Very happy.
Summary: I had a 12" JBL that pounded my 2 story house - especially watching Jurassic Park :) then the dumb thing blew out. I pulled out my Sony 8" sub that came as a freebie w/ the purchase of my Sony Rcvr years backs. JBL offered to sell me a replacement at a discounted price but never got around to it. I needed a pound you in the heart and vibrate the leather couch experience. Klipsch SW-112: mission accomplished.
Summary: This is one fantastic sub. Deep lows, not distorted at all. Sounds great with movies as well as music. It took me a while to get it tuned just right but when I did all I could say was awesome. I'm so impressed with the 112 that I'm considering purchasing another on to go with it. Or just maybe step up another notch and purchase the SW-115. I just purchased the Oppo 103 and can't wait to see if it takes my music and movies to another level. Great sub!
Summary: In summary, the morning after watching White House Down, I had to go outside and reattach siding that fell after the nails vibrated completely out! I jest but seriously, I've got this thing down to like the 20% mark on the volume. I love bass but I was NOT prepared for this. My neighbor and I are 15 ft apart but I cant help but wonder if he would feel the bass IF I dared to turn it back up to 50%. I could have probably been fine with the 200 watt model but oh well.
Summary: Took about 2 weeks to break in, ground shaking bottom end for movies, lacks clarity for music, but I knew that going in. Since it's mostly used for TV, movies, sports etc does a great job and very pleased, blends well with my older Klipsch Reference speakers. If you are looking for something more for music, I would suggest a sealed sub.
