Summary: Took a bit to get working because of receiver issues. After getting connected I can't stop listening. The GF loves it too. She was skeptical at first. Now she raves about how the "movies will sound with the sub". Highly recommended. Seems to get better by the day with the break in.
Summary: I have owned a lot of subs and this Klipsch RW 12D offers the single best audio experience I've ever had in a sub-woofer. We use this in our media room for movies, TV, music, and gaming; and it excels at absolutely everything it does. The extra touches like the digital display menu with pre-set options really make this an incredible piece of tech. With options to make the bounce range from "punchy" to soft, I really can't get enough of this thing.
Summary: I spent so much time and waisted a bit of money searching for the an upgrade to my RW10d. I ordered and returned two subwoofers on lineand lost money doing that. I took delivery of this RW12d yesterday and hooked it up straightaway and boy what a speaker. It's just the best subwoofer I have ever head. In my humble opinion, nothing compares. (Well in this price range) I 'm sure if you have the money to $3000+ speakers, they might sound a little better.
Summary: I just love the controls on the front top, really easy to adjust. Some shows you want more bass its so nice not to grovel on the floor to adjust output, and you will... Just walk by and touch controls lite up easy to see and adj. Sometimes remote for amp bass adj is not enough thats when its up front controls really shine. More then enough bass for me. Be sure to order lfe cable longer, so you can fine tune the location.
Summary: I have nothing put great things to say about these subs. I purchased my first about 2 years ago and enjoyed it so much I bought a second one a year ago. These guy will rock all the up to their maximum volume with zero distortion. They are pretty musical but at their best when watching movies. My only complaint, and it is a small one is that the cabinet finish looks slightly cheap for what is supposed to be representative of klipsch reference line of speakers.
Summary: I love the realism of musical instruments and the theatrical experience of special effects. Of course I usually keep it my customized "Nighttime" mode set to drop output by 10% and emphasize the audible half of it's range, (no house shaking unless everyone is in the media room)!
Summary: I paired this up with a Onkyo TX-NR809 home theater receiver and i'm extremely pleased. Its a bigger improvement sound wise from my RSW-15 sub from klipsch . I've owned the Klipsch Reference line since around 2002ish and they sound just as good today as they did after a few hours of break in. The reason why this middle brand 12 inch improved the sound quality in my room is purely my hearing style preference.
Summary: I use my home theater for movies only so I redesigned my speaker package to better reflect that kind of listening. Im using 4 studio monitors (Definitive Technology SM350's) and 2 center speakers with on in front and one as a "surround back" speaker. This makes up my 6.1 system. The Klipsch RW12D sub was intended to replace the 2 tower speakers I have with built-in 300 watt(16Hz) subs each. But this sub is amazing!
