Summary: this sub really hits even if you have the bass low in the sub you can her it but i also think that it has go with a good receiver and the other speakers well all my speakers where klipsch and they are freaking tight the best set of speakers i ever had for a room the only thing that's bad for my case my AMP blow out so its not working =[[[ im looking for a replacement right now even though this is an old model its still expensive i might as well get the new klipsch model...
Summary: We use this in our home theater, as part of a 100% Klipsh speaker system. It is relatively modest in size, but it really rumbles - jets, rockets, explosions - all are realistically delivered. When we use it for music, it is accurate and tight - as a bass player, I appreciate its musical performance, over a wide range of musical types and styles. In spite of using only a 10" driver, I can honestly say we do not feel like we compromised with this subwoofer.
Summary: This is such a great subwoofer. I was replacing a powered Sony subwoofer with this RPW10. The bass alone sounds much different, and a lot clearer then the Sony. The Sony subwoofer had trouble recreating different types of bass frequencies where it would basically just sound like a "boom" when the bass hit. The Klipsch subwoofer hits such a wide range of frequencies that it hits lower notes before it gets to that "boom".
Summary: I bought this Klipsch rpw-10 really unsure of what to expect siince I could not find any reviews on it anywhere. I bought it hoping to have some good bass to match my Klipsch quintet 3 speakers. This sub is very good, I have it set to about 1/3 on the dial and it is almost too much. You can really feel the impact from movies, xbox, and music. SO far I am very happy with it. I used to use a Sony 120watt sub and the Klipsch RPW-10 is way more powerfull.
Summary: It is amazing how much quality sound you can get for little money these days. I bought this for a small 2-channel TV/movie system and didn't want to spend much as I have another audiophile music system elsewhere. With an msrp of $400 I was expecting it to sound boomy w/ only one note bass. Boy was I wrong. It has a tight tuneful bass and it is easy to follow the bass notes on a nice acoustic bass of a jazz quartet or deliver the power needed for pipe organ.
