It's true. Studio 190's have good lows without a sub but...

Summary: I really notice a big difference even with good wide response speakers. This sub has a nice punch (for the money) and provides options for customizing. Plus, It's not likely to become a coffee table.
Summary: This SW is awesome and is perfect to use along with my JBL 190 Studio pkg. I live in an apartment and started getting nervous now; as my neighbours might start complaining about this. Anyways i will be using 50% of the BASS only; until unless i move out from the apartment :) JBL Rocks!!! I'm now a fan of JBL - after owning the JBL 190 Studio PKG & SUB150P subwoofer and looking at the quality of sound i hear from it.
Summary: This SW is massive, but looks cool. Very good deep low rumbles and very responsive quick deep booms. Turned up to about 65% max volume and that is sufficient. Seems very solid audibly and structurally.
Summary: JBL is certainly no amateur when it comes to speakers and this is no exception. This sub woofer boasts incredible lows with little to no thump present. With my theater set up I've been able to replicate near accurate standards in all the tests I've run on it (the high end Onkyo receiver takes most of the credit). If you're looking for a sub woofer that will produce accuracy and sustain deep low end sounds, this is a great choice.
Summary: Can not believe the deal I got on this sub! It filled the low end gap in my home theater nicely. It is a heavy unit as it is a powered subwoofer with it's own on-board amp. Built solid. Looks great, sounds amazing. Great addition to any two channel audio set up as well. What else can I say? It's JBL!
Summary: Bought this to go with my JBL Studio 190s and it's awesome. From movies to hockey games to call of duty, this sub has added a ton of depth. Body checks against the boards come thru in a resounding tremble. Complements the 190s perfectly.
Summary: I ended up getting this subwoofer for just over $200 and couldn't be happier. Handles lows very well. Produces bass very accurately of any genre (Rap, Country, Rock, ect.). Brings movies to life. This subwoofer is quite large. Make sure you have enough room for this monster! I love how it looks, not just a square box. Never owned anything JBL and after hearing this sub, I am a fan. With the price that I paid, I was not expecting such a good product.
Summary: Just amazing! I have this hooked up to some vintage stereo equipment from the late 70's early 80's. An Apt Holman pre amp and two bridged Hafler DH-220 amps. I am also using a NAD C541 Cd player to drive my new Infinity ps363's that I bought to replace my Allison One speakers which I lost thanks to the flood waters of hurricane sandy. Anyway with the sub placed on the opposite wall and at the right volume, the ps 363's sound awesome!
