Summary: needed a small sub to fit under a desk for a 2.1 system. decided to take a chance on this one based on reviews read here and at Vann's. when price dropped here significantly, I grabbed one. at first, I was not impressed. already own a Dayton 8 inch sub and Yamaha 8 inch sub and those sounded better. but once this thing got some burn in time, it has been just as goodas those subs, if not better.
Summary: Very powerful sub woofer to complete you home sound system. It is colossal, it has the boom and low range sounds that you'll hear in a movie theater. ATTENTION! Any reviews that don't say this sub is anything short of amazing is probably due to not properly setting up their sound systems.
Summary: Although not the non-plus ultra in subwoofers, this Jamo holds it's own within my system. I have had a Jamo S 426 3 Wenge five speaker system for about a year, and although it gave good bass with movies, something was still lacking with music, especially many of my classical recordings. Once I integrated this sub into my system though, it all came alive. Movies took on a new depth and some, not all, recordings did sound much better.
Summary: For the money this small sub out performs other entry level sub woofers that I have had in the past. I use this in my guest house where my kids tend to throw parties and abuse the equipment and it has performed marvelously. Bang for the Buck! Real MDF cabinet is probably what makes the difference. I have had a couple other Jamo pieces in the past. All really solid.
Summary: The best $100 I ever spent. It perfectly completed my speaker system. Reviewed elsewhere on Amazon.com. It includes a crossover control, power cord, which I used and an audio cable, which I replaced. I took off a star because the crossover frequencies are not mark nor documented anywhere. I had to contact technical support. It make it impossible to set properly. I'd take off more but I was eventually able to acquire it. It a HUGE oversight on a good product.
