Summary: Works great in my 5.1 Home Theater setup. I've looked outside for the source of thumps, door closings, etc. that actually occurred on-screen. The appearance is a big plus, too. If you're going to have a large square box in a room, it might as well be a nice-looking large square box. This one looks nice enough to double as a small table. Why 3 stars and not 5? Well, I got mine for ~$380. The price listed now for it is ~$980. For the lower price, it's a 5 star item.
Summary: Simply the best subwoofer ever used in my life. Blows away competition. Connected with Yamaha RX-V887 and boy this packs a punch and the best part is that volume on the sub is low. Tested Thor 3D 7.1 channel and the action sequences came to life. I don't know if I can watch movies with out this subwoofer. Best advice is to get this sub with Energy Take classic 5 if you can find bundle with the sub that classic series provide than buy that and buy this sub.
Summary: The Energy Veritas Subwoofer goes low, has plenty of power and really makes a big difference in our home theater. The first unit arrived with shipping damage (internal tubes for porting dislodged). Vann's was very friendly and professional. They laid out the options and I decided to send it back and wait for a replacement. They were timely with processing the RMA and seemed most concerned that I was satisfied. I give them very high marks and will buy from them again.
Summary: I have an energy system without the energy sub. I happened to have an Acoustic Research 12" 250 watt sub running with the energy speakers, the box is about the same size. I installed this energy sub and boy what a difference, it seems to play the lower frequencies much nicer. I can now aggravate the wife with all the bass.... Worth every penny of $350..
Summary: This sub is a great deal at its current sale price. Without spending more money on an internet direct sub, it would be very hard to beat the performance of the VSW10 in this price range. It is a very tight and accurate, musical sub. It is also good with home theater, but I feel that music is its strength. I am now able to feel bass that I was unable to with my old setup. The appearance of this sub is great.
Blows away the competition at its current sale price

Summary: This is by far the nicest sounding sub that I have heard in the price range it is in. It is really too bad that this veritas line did not take off the way it should have. I currently have the VSW-10 sub and the veritas 5.1 bookshelf speakers. These only became available to me because of the huge price drop across the veritas line. I have tried a variety of other subs on the market and nothing can compare to the elegance, power, and value that this sub offers.
Summary: I was initially interested in the Energy ESW-C10 sub and was waiting for it to go on sale. When I happened to see Energy's top of the line go on sale for the same price I couldn't resist and I'm very happy I made the jump. Fit and Finish: When I first pulled it out of the box I could not believe how nice this sub looks! It has a very high gloss black finish that just has to be seen to be appreciated. Even my wife was impressed.
Doesn't Disappoint - Clean, Clear and Powerful for Music and Movies
7 November 2011
Summary: Excellent sub for Music and Movies!! Pros: Very Clean, Deep, powerful bass for music and movies. Performs much better than more expensive units. Looks great and blended well with my def-tech speakers and Yamaha RX-V663. Cons: Nothing major. Definitely needs time to break in. Seemed underpowered until it ran for a while( 10+ hours) and I got the placement in the room perfect. Some distortion at very high volumes but really no different than other brands.
Summary: I will confess: I only have one obsession that is moderately ridiculous, and that's home theater. Okay.... it's perhaps beyond an obsession, which is why I bought two of the Veritas subwoofers. I had gone back and forth between the Veritas and some subs that are manufactured and sold primarily in the US, which would require substantial shipping fees to deliver to Canada. If it wasn't for the shipping fees I might not have chose the Veritas in the end.
