Nice Little Add On Subwoofer

Summary: I bought this to use as a second sub in the back of a large family room. I set the crossover in the receiver and use the volume knob on the back of the sub to adjust the level of bass I need. The entire room now has the right balance of bass I wanted. Works just fine for movies and music. I have all Def. Tech. speakers so it blends in nicely. The $ 299 price for the refurbished unit was also nice.
Summary: So after one year of planning, I recently decided that I would upgrade my home theater system and replace all of my equipment with more high end equipment. My previous home theater speakers was the bose acoustimass 10 system. The bose system dons not really have a subwoofer per say but more of what is called an acoustimass module or a bass module.
Summary: Great sound. The only issue is the soft cover all the way around - it has been fine but I am hopeful the cats don't discover it. We wanted to enjoy the full sound of it but had to hide it so they could not find it! It goes great with our surround sound.
Awesome sound! Bought 9 months ago and no regrets ...

Summary: Do yourself a favor and buy this sub. I had been putting off replacing my subwoofer for a few years after everything was flooded in Katrina. Price was a little high for me and I was hesitant till I got home and hooked it up. Awesome sound! Bought 9 months ago and no regrets whatsoever. It makes all of my music sound like I'm hearing it for the first time.
Summary: This is a great Sub. We are using it in our home theater, which is 20 ft wide and 17 ft deep. This sub rattles the entire house. (a big house). You can hear it outside. I wish it had a built in crossover control. I am knocking a star off for the lack thereof. Without the cross over, I have to dig into my amplifier, which made setup more of a pain than was necessary. All in all though, a good sub. Loud enough to hurt my ears.
Summary: First of all it has incredible performance for it's size, and that's why I got it. It is less than 11" on all three sides. It performs as well or better than my previous front firing 10" sub that measured 14" on all 3 sides. That being said it isn't terribly musical, it is a bit boomy and it is better suited for movies. A sub with a sealed box would probably be much tighter but take up more space. It can fake it's way though anything.
Summary: Originally, I was enquiring about the Definitive Technology Pro Sub 1000 but Shane, the Crutchfield sales rep., convinced me to try the Super Cube 2000. I was a bit skeptical at first but decided to try it. I have waited two months in order to observe its performance before giving this review. Now, I am considering whether to purchase another since it has exceeded my expectations. I read an adverse review, here, and wonder what the reviewer was really talking about.
Summary: This small sub is excellent for home theater. It is very simple, with just a volume knob and a single .1 input from your receiver. It is very tight and will pressurize most rooms with foot rattling bass. I noticed that it "broke in " as it played. I had to turn it down over the course of the first week as it seemed to play louder and lower as the drivers relaxed. Very satisfied!
Summary: It does a good job, only problem is I already own the SC 6000 and I'm now running 2 subs. You hear alot about pairing the same sub and I've found this to be true. Another SC 6000 would have been unreal! However, having 2 sounds great when adjusting the lesser one to compensate for the lack of equal power. Sounds great, but eventually for the right price, I'm sure I'll update.
