Summary: I decided to upgrade from a Supercube III in May, 2012 when the new models of Supercubes were introduced and they were clearing out the old models. While the Supercube III was adequate for my 16' by 25' great room with 10' ceilings and carpeted flooring, I figured that a bit more power couldn't hurt. First, there is a huge difference in power between the Supercube III and the Supercube I.
Good all-round performer, particularly at its price point.

Summary: It's a great sub at its price point (I own 2 of them), but don't believe the published specs. There is no way this thing will get to 200Hz, in reality it starts to roll off significantly at 120Hz and completely falls off the chart by 160Hz. But at the other end, sure it goes good to below 20Hz which makes it a great choice for home theater applications.
Summary: Wow. I bought the Supercube I to replace an aging PF15 that I've had for 17 years. I am thoroughly satisfied. The price was half of what it originally sold for. Actually $150 less than I paid for the PF15. This unit goes lower, louder and also sounds much tighter, much more detailed. It's even quite a bit smaller but weighs double. Pairs nicely with my BP-20's which are huge.
Very good sub, but I should have listened to the salesman and got the 6000.

Summary: I bought the supercube 1 because I have a Klipsch 350 watt and a polk 250 watt and I was unsatisfied. This sub hits better and lower than both conbined. The only thing I have a problem with is, it doesn't go quite high enough on the hertz range. I hooked the polk with it and am very happy. Nice sub.
Summary: I wanted cleaner, crisper bass. And I sure got it with this sub.Already had two Def-tech pro 1000 satellite's that I love, but had a low-end Klipsch sub paired with them. This sub is fantastic!
Summary: I'm a Def Tech fan from way back... first owning the original BP10 and evolving to the BP7002 with BPX surrounds which I currently own. I've always dreamed of having a matching SC1, but already being the owner of a nice Paradigm sub, I didn't think it would be a significant upgrade. The Supercube I has had the most impact (literally and viscerally) on my HT than any other component besides my display.
Summary: I got this sub to complete my Definitive Technology speaker system. I paired it with StudioMonitor450 fronts, ProCenter 2000, and BP1.2x surrounds. It sounds great in the corner of my room and the volume adjust allows me to tailor the output for various effects. It responds great and sounds perfect with a variety of sources including TV, Blu-Ray, and my Xbox360. Great range and perfect reproduction of the lows I was looking for.
Summary: I`m one o those person that recently and step by step has been able to get, I would say, a very nice HT with a lot o patience and effort. Believe me, as you may know, when is about the SW is like everything you have achieve until that moment with your components depends on take the right decision on this (believe me I made a big mistake ones and don't really want to do it again).
