Summary: I have this on Onkyo TX NR609 receiver in a 5.1 configuration. The sound is awesome. This has a LFE input (low frequency effects) so your receiver can take care of the crossover settings. The cabinet is well made and looks great, classy.
Summary: I purchased this as a second subwoofer to suppliment a Bose Acoustimass subwoofer with a Denon AVR-2311CI receiever. I can say it all in a simple formula. So far, the Boston Acoustics CSSUB10B + Monster cable subwoofer cable = a very happy listener.
Summary: got this sub 2 months ago and let me tell you what a great sub this is. it is the best sub and only 140.00 bucks, wow what a great buy. i am so happy that i bought this and you will be too. fully ajustable and so deep and clear it takes your breath away. it is solidly built and perfectly balanced. far and away best bang for your bucks.
Summary: If you are on a budget and are looking for a quality sub to fill the need, then this is the way to go. I am thoroughly surprised by the accuracy of this sub at such a low price. It's certainly a little boomy at times, but all subs in this range are. This one sounds great considering it was only a little more than $100, I would HIGHLY recommend it. I only wish it came in a sealed version, that would have been nice.
Summary: I purchased a reconditioned unit form the Boston's website with free shipping and it was the best decision I've made in awhile. Read all the reviews here before I made my final mind up as I buy most of my big purchases through amazon. Unit seemed brand new with their 1 year warranty and sounds amazing. A sub is a must have even though my speakers have the capacity to throw out some base notes.
Summary: For the price, this is an excellent subwoofer. I bought it to replace an considerably more expensive 12" Klipsch which burned out on me. While this 10" less expensive BA speaker can't do what the more expensive make and model did, it is a great value! It works really well for our home theater system and I am very happy with it.
Summary: Purchased this sub to compliment Polk Audio Monitors and Onkyo receiver. Overall very impressed with this sub. Firstly, build quality is very good with good overall controls and connections. Bass is clean, tight and has impact both in home theater use and music. Shook the house and living room at about 60% volume. Tried different kinds of music, with smooth bass response with all music. Gladiator and Bourne sound fantastic with this sub.
Summary: I bought this from Crutchfield ( got my UPS 10% discount with them ) and was really surprised. I had the Bose lifestyle 12 way back from 2001. I bought a new receiver ( 625 watts total ) and kept the Bose speakers. I placed it in the corner of the room and it really sounds great. If I play it for over an hour with heavy bass music , it will vibrate one of my speakers off the end table. Something Bose sub-woofer could not do.
