Summary: Overall a good purchase. Got this to replace a fried AudioSource unit. The BIc is much smaller than I had anticipated, but once hooked up and configured, I think it sounds better than my old larger unit. For the price, can't be beat. Auto power setting seems to work well too. My previous unit always had issues sensing the signal.
Summary: Solid base from a compact sub, I have had this unit for about 6 months and it does well in a medium room for movies AND music. It sounds great, I am just surprised by how well this little sub performs! I'm now thinking about replacing my main stereo speakers down stairs with BICs. I would buy this product again, very happy.
Summary: I wanted this to use with two tiny satellites for background music and talk radio in a big room. Works fine for that. Nothing like audiophile quality, but a huge improvement in sound - not only adds an octave to the bottom end, but unloads the little speakers from everything below about 200 Hz, which improves their sound considerably. Probably excellent as an AV sub as well.
Summary: Got this to pair with a Vizio sound bar while i remodel our new home, so i'm stuck in a 10x10 bedroom without good sound. To start off, this thing rocks hard. It's so crisp an clear it makes the sound bar sound just like that, a bar that project some sound and nothing more. Even though it's a sub, the sound is soo crisp, even and enveloping.
Summary: RICH SUBTLE DEEP BASE, ADDS DEPTH TO MY WHARFEDALE (ENGLISH) SPEAKERS. AFFORDABLE AT $108.00. I'M NO EXPERT, BUT THE SOUND QUALITY OF THE WHARFEDALE DIAMOND 10 SPEAKERS AND BIC V-80 COME CLOSE TO, THOUGH NOT QUITE AS GOOD AS MY BOSE 601 SERIES 3 SPEAKERS WHICH COST $1000. SADLEY THESE WERE RECENTLY STOLEN, SO I PATCHED TOGETHER THIS SYSTEM THANKS TO AMAZON AND CRAIGSLIST FOR ABOUT $200. WORKS FOR ME.
Summary: Have had this a year now and have it hooked up to a well aged Yamaha CRX-150 bookshelf system. The base system sound is a bit light but has a warm midrange and decent highs. The lower end was obviously lacking. Not wanting to spend lots of $ on a small system, this BIC sub fit the desire. I'm not a bass head and while a 12" higher powered unit would rattle the room, it wouldn't be an appropriate match for the small drivers in the book shelf sized speakers.
