Summary: I also have two Bic bookshelf speakers as surrounds and a bic center in a 5.1 with my old Polk monitors for front L&R in my kid's tv room. Bic makes good speakers and those do fine with Polk monitor fronts there. I know, I know, don't mix center and mains but the kids get my hand me downs when I upgrade our family room. They are just starting to realize quality of sound is more important than quantity (loudness) lol.
Pros: Very nice, tight bass. Hits deep. Better than my Polk 10" in the other corner of the room, but then again the Polk is only a 10" and more importantly only 50W RMS. If you aren't audio educated be aware the 430 watts on this is peak. It's a 200W sub. Typical marketing ploy though everyone does it. This thing sounds great and i'm a Polk guy. Really carries the lows, I have it set at 70 hz on the crossover and my Polk fronts set to pick up there. Center is set to 100 hz ...
Cons: Only thing is I wish the carpet spikes were a half inch taller. They are fine for low carpet like Berber but for shag that would help. No biggy I had some hard rubber grommets like you put under chair legs and that works fine.
Summary: I have had these for about a month and I am very pleased. Not sure what other people are doing with theirs, but these speakers are not boomy, and they are tight. It will take you a little while to get them adjusted, and tuned, but it is well worth the effort. The sub does not overwhelm you when bass should not be there. Movies have come to life and you feel the bottom.
Summary: I purchased this sub in November. Read reviews and couldn't have been more excited to get it. I waited until after Christmas to get my receiver (like a fool). After setting up I adjusted it and tried it out. Awesome sound. After about 4 hours of play time, I turned off the receiver. The very next day, it's deader than a doornail. No sound, no lights, NOTHING. Fuse looks good. My mistake was waiting 60 days between purchasing and trying this out.
Deserves a 5 star review. Will update review as it is breaking in.

Summary: As soon as the sub came in, i immediately adjusted the settings on my receiver to make it sound its best. I made a test cd that goes from 180 down to 20 hz. At first there was barely a response at 30 hz. At 35 hz, the light fixtures in my basement started rattling, and keep in mind that during all this testing, I dont have the sub very loud. just enough so that the spider moves so it can get used to excursion.
Summary: I would give it a five but because I really like bass I had this poor unit all the way turnd up i eventually burned the amp out bummer but when it worked this sub put out solid bass I eventually bought the Polk Audio SW 505 as a replacment.
Summary: I purchased this sub to replace an old KLH 10" sub that really sounded good. This sub hits hard. I have it paired up w/ Bic DV-62CLRS Center Channel and a pair of Bic DV-62SI speakers for the front mains. Receiver is a Yamaha RX-V371. Rears are Phillips speakers that came with my old surround sound system. When the KLH first failed I tried a Sony SA-W3000. The Sony was boomy. Just did not have enough punch. So I orded this one and never looked back.
Summary: So far this sub has been nothing less than awesome. It doesnt seem to kick on when there is just talking on the screen - which IMO is nice. We watch normal tv and blu-ray movies and its nice to have a working sub again. I would suggest this to my friend.
Summary: I had ordered this sub being a little bit skeptical. I have a very old receiver without a "sub out" port and thought this fact meant that i would have to buy a new receiver if i wanted a subwoofer. I read most of the reviews and thought using this sub would work. I got it this morning and before break in it is MONSTROUS. Extraordinarily satisfied. UPDATE 3/13/12 It it fully broken in, and I can really crank it now.
Summary: I have owned this sub for over 1.5 years (bought on Amazon in Feb. 2010). The sub operates flawlessly. This was my first BIC America speaker purchase. Since then,I have purchased a center channel and two floor speakers. I love the sound and setup for my home theater.
Summary: This sub is easy to hook up and like all BIC products, is high quality. I had a BIC V-80 8 inch 100 watt just one month prior to buying this one. My reason for buying this sub, was a much lower frequency response- -[23 HZ's] which realley lets you feel the footsteps of that T-REX walking across the screen! If you have an older receiver that has no LFE sub out output, this sub is very easy to hook up to it.
