Great sounding speaker, but powering it away from a plug is a problem.

Summary: Got this the other day, and was really excited to take it on its first outing to the beach. Plugged in to an AC outlet, it's just what I expected. But on batteries, not impressed. The book says 6-8 hours on batteries, but that's at an extremely low volume.
Summary: It works well. Was desiring louder sound, but works well around the yard , and at the beach. Light weight. No complaints really.. Just being cheap with my star rating. Keep in mind. For the money you spend on this device..Its really not bad. But don't plan on rocking the neighborhood.
Summary: Purchased this bluetooth speaker to play Pandora music at work, streaming it from my tablet. I had not had the chance to preview it anywhere prior to purchase, but felt the Yamaha reputation should make a pretty good speaker.
Summary: I've had Yamaha products since the 70's and I thought the sound quality would be a little better. I use this for a exercise class and even at full volume it's not loud enough or is slightly distorted. Goes through batteries a lot and shuts off by itself when on batteries.
Summary: I own several Yamaha products, from very old computer speakers to live sound products and musical instruments and something I was not expecting is a bad quality construction, at least the one I bought, resonates at certain frequencies created by the lows and something inside vibrates.
