Great sounding speaker, but powering it away from a plug is a problem.

Summary: Got this the other day, and was really excited to take it on its first outing to the beach. Plugged in to an AC outlet, it's just what I expected. But on batteries, not impressed. The book says 6-8 hours on batteries, but that's at an extremely low volume.
Summary: Purchased this bluetooth speaker to play Pandora music at work, streaming it from my tablet. I had not had the chance to preview it anywhere prior to purchase, but felt the Yamaha reputation should make a pretty good speaker.
Summary: Looks great and has a good bass, clear tones and distortion is minimal. They've engineered the volume so you get great sounds not rattles, exactly what you'd expect from Yamaha. Overall it's plenty loud enough for indoors but it's not going to overcome a party atmosphere or fill an auditorium..
Summary: I've had Yamaha products since the 70's and I thought the sound quality would be a little better. I use this for a exercise class and even at full volume it's not loud enough or is slightly distorted. Goes through batteries a lot and shuts off by itself when on batteries.
Summary: It works well. Was desiring louder sound, but works well around the yard , and at the beach. Light weight. No complaints really.. Just being cheap with my star rating. Keep in mind. For the money you spend on this device..Its really not bad. But don't plan on rocking the neighborhood.
