Summary: This little speaker is light and stylish and puts out good sound, but when it said that it operated from AC or battery power, I thought that would mean plug it in to recharge when you get home. Well, I thought wrong, this works like an old-fashioned boom box -- plug it in or run it off the batteries, but there is no connection between the two.
My First 2 Star review...yikes then this thing really must have been a disappointment

Summary: Too plainly put it....it was too fragile, and big to truly be portable. Had no storage for included remote,ipod/mp3/phone or a 3.5 wire area. Really, for its size its the least Yamaha could have designed storage to offset its bulk. It felt light and cheap, literally like i thought the handle would slide out of it any second. Speaking of the darn handle, the least Yamaha could have done is make it removable or hideaway.
Summary: My husband got me this speaker for Christmas,I loved it,we have a 2yr old and a1yr old. so one day I plug in my speaker and then my 1yr old trips on the cord and down goes the phone and speaker and the speaker is fine but the 30 pin connector is busted!! so now I'm looking where we can find a replacement parts for the speaker to make it work:-( So Yamaha next time think of me when you redesign the speaker, maybe make a Bluetooth feature,I don't know,I miss my speaker:-(
