Summary: Sorry Folks, I don't know how this product ended up in my queue for reviews, and I didn't catch it until too late. This review is meant for a Yamaha AV receiver RX-V475. It's giving me all the sound I want, and several choices (music category) that I'll never use. Navigating the menu initially is a little like walking a maze, but generally speaking once you find how to get what you want.....who cares, right?
Summary: These speakers are at the right size for a small room (50m2). They are small and sound excellent. I could not test above 50% of the volume because they are too loud and my neighbors would complain a lot...
Summary: I bought this speaker set to go with a Pioneer VSX-823 receiver. This is my first home theater set (outside of a soundbar & subwoofer combo) so my ears are probably much less discerning than those of more seasoned "audiophiles". With that said, I've really enjoyed these speakers. We have them in a fairly small living room and the bass and overall sound is more than adequate. I didn't fully appreciate the set until I watched Thor 2 and blasted the volume.
Summary: When I first set these up, I was very pleased by their look, but was disappointed in the sound as they seemed somewhat tinny. I decided to give them a day or two to "break-in" and am glad I did. By the next day the sound had significantly improved and had the rich tone I expected. I've been using them for a month now and am very happy with them.
Summary: Really good sound. If you have a room on the larger side you may want something with a little more juice. But in my average living room these speakers do great and the bass is very well balanced. Currently am only using left, right, center, and sub. But I have high confidence that once I setup all 5.1 system it will just get better. Note: I am using a Yamaha 5.1 av receiver as well but I'm sure that doesn't make any noticeable difference.
