Summary: Great sounding speaker to my ears. I use one of these for the center channel in an office training room (7.2 surround system) and it seems well suited for this. No distortion all the way up to max volume when the amp starts to clip. Voices and center channel sounds very clear. If you are putting them horizontally in a stud wall, you will need to cut at least one stud out to get the clear width needed to put these in the wall.
Summary: Great center channel speaker. Had to cut a stud in order to fit it in but that's ok. They provided all the templates. Having a center channel made all the difference in the world to my surround system!
Summary: These speakers have the worse mounting wing-nuts I have ever seen on a product. I bought three of these and two Ceiling speakers....same mounting system. I am still in the process of making my "Man Cave"....I just hope the sound quality make up for the install NIGHTMARE!!!!
Summary: Great center channel. I'm a self-proclaimed audiophile and recording engineer and most large center channel speakers are just a waste of money since the center channel mostly just handles dialog in movies (highs, high-mid frequencies). So there's really is no good reason to have to spend a ton of money on those frequencies. But for the price of this, the great aesthetic looks of it in the front wall and the sound quality, it's a good buy.
Summary: I bought this as the center speaker for our in-wall/ceiling 7.2 Sorround sound system and it is great. It is flanked by Klipsch right and left centers and woofers below. The system is driven by a Yamaha amp and sounds absolutely superb. Hightly recommended for those who want an in-wall system.
Summary: The only thing that I would say is the negative, is if you use it for a center channel, you need to be prepared that you're going to have to cut a stud if it's horizontal. Other than that they are amazing and sound SO good!
