Summary: Great sounding speaker to my ears. I use one of these for the center channel in an office training room (7.2 surround system) and it seems well suited for this. No distortion all the way up to max volume when the amp starts to clip. Voices and center channel sounds very clear.
Summary: These speakers have the worse mounting wing-nuts I have ever seen on a product. I bought three of these and two Ceiling speakers....same mounting system. I am still in the process of making my "Man Cave"....I just hope the sound quality make up for the install NIGHTMARE!!!!
Summary: We selected this speaker as a center channel for our home theater system. The sound is fantastic, but because of the size, it won't fit between two studs, so you end up having to cut studs and frame around the speaker.
Summary: I bought this speaker to go with my home theater system. The installation was very easy. My home was pre-wired for surround sound. So, all that was needed was to cut the hole and connect the wire.
Summary: Great product. Yamaha quality in every aspect. These are being used as left and right front speakers and the sound matches well with the center channel (yamaha ns-c225) and rear surrounds (yamaha ns-iw360c).
Summary: My bestfriend Alex and I set up surround sound here at our studio and two pairs of these Yamaha NS-IW760 2-Way In-Wall Speakers. They sound great! They laid perfectly flat against the wall and the installation was really easy! A perfect addition to the 7.1 surround sound.
Summary: I picked up 4 of these to use as front and surround speakers for a home audio/theater system I was installing in a remodeled room. These speakers are being updated to the IW960s and are getting harder to find, so you can get a good deal on them some places. I got mine for $49.95 each.
Pros: Nice Sound, Good Price, Fairly easy to install. The shape allows for vertical or horizontal placement in tight spots.
Cons: Installation system is a little weak, and it can be somewhat difficult to get all wall clamps to engage properly. The wire connections have cheap plastic nuts.
