Summary: Let me start off by saying I built a new home and pre-wired a 7.2 surround sound setup. The room is 20'L x15'W x10'H. I did not want towers or bookshelf speakers. I wanted my front right and left speakers installed in the wall directly beside my TV, and all the other speakers mounted in the ceiling,...
Summary: I bought these on sale for $125 and I am very surprised by the sound and quality..These are very nicely built and offer a 3 way set up, instead of just 2 way...The midrange and tweeter are both pivoting, so you can point the sound right where you want it.
Summary: I don't fully understand why Yamaha isn't talked about in the same realm as Bose, Klipsch, and Polk. Don't get me wrong, I know they are a well respected brand, but I'm always surprised that they aren't higher on the food chain. I purchased these for my new home theater room.
Summary: I'm disappointed in the quality of sound for music applications. I insulated the stud cavity as recommended. The price 100.00+,- was pretty competitive. Be careful with the mounting hardware (plastic), they work but are easily broken if a heavy hand is used. The 8" dia.
Summary: Installed these speakers without too much issue. The only thing I would recommend is to make sure to cut on the outside of the line that you trace from the template. I had to adjust the first hole that I cut for the speaker a few times to get it to fit.
Summary: These Yamaha In-Wall speakers offer a ton of features and sound great. Based on Price, Quality, Features, and Ease of Install, you get the most bang for your buck with these speakers. They have a dB adjustment for mid & high tones right on the speaker.
Summary: Bought 2 pair for our game room, easy to mount in the wall, sound better than the floor speakers that they replaced and free'ed up more floor space. thinking about putting them in the living room, you will not be disappointed.
