Summary: Good for rear surround or a smaller room. In my opinion, not enough punch for main towers. These replaced a pair of Infinity Kappa 6 (sadly, no longer made). So, comparing tower speakers to a "huge cone box" from the 80s isn't really fair, but I do miss the bass from the Infinity!! Although I am happy with these, I'm using these for a smaller room. The size was the main reason I purchased these - perfect fit for me.
Summary: I rather like these speakers, they were pretty easy to setup and work great with my surround sound system. I wish they would change the picture though, it makes it look like you get 2 speakers but you only get one.
Summary: I purchased these speakers for my Yamaha RX-475 receiver and glad I did. These are quality built and sound quality is exceptional for the price. I have always trusted Yamaha to produce a quality product when it comes to sound quality, and this did not let me down. I listen to all kinds of music and these little beauties handle it all.
Summary: I added two of these speakers to my home system. I had a sound-bar system from Yamaha and I added these by bridging into the sound-bar connect. It doesn't power them as strong as I hoped but it does sound a lot more defined and adds some needed mids to the overall system. I am happy with them and as with all Yamaha products they are built very well.
Summary: I started out to buy a center speaker for my Wally World type surround sound so called system , Well! the Yamaha center i ended up with drowned out the W.W. so called system...So! Ya can't have a Surround Sound System with one speaker & to make a not so long story shorter went from a 4.1 W.W. system to a 7.2 all Yamaha system a piece at a time including the Receiver...this brings me to the "Last Purchase of Yamaha Speakers" ... Now!
