Summary: If you can still find these speakers NOS, get them. I bought a pair on clearance for around $200 for both at a Best Buy over 10 years ago. Replacing an older set of Bose. They just "looked" like they were formidable in their style / workmanship and sounded quite good in the store.
Summary: Great speakers! Wonder why they discontinued them? They sound great with my yamaha 7.2 receiver. I also got a yamaha subwoofer and now it's too much bass. Oh well I'm pleased with the purchase.
Summary: I have 4 of these hooked up to a Yamaha RX-V2600 AVR and I have to say they're quite nice. I had Polk sats and a sub before these. The only thing is that they seem to be crying for more power. So I am getting rid of the Yamaha AVR and hooking up an Onkyo TX-NR5009.
Summary: These are the most amazing and beautiful speakers for the money,if you can still find them.Usual Yamaha quality with beautiful sound.I bought an extra set of bookshelf just to have as extras...
Summary: Agree with the other reviewers on design. The piano black finish looks spectacular. These are huuuuge and extremely heavy speakers. I needed something really big and it fits the bill. Looks very very cool with the grille on!! So hows the sound?
Summary: The NS-777 is a fantastic speaker for the cost. As we all know, you get what you pay for, right? Ok, this speaker has a MSRP of $[...] each, but you can find it for $[...] to $[...] if you shop it. And in my case, I got them for $[...] with free shipping.
Summary: I'm not sure where to start, but will say that " YOU " the reader should be prepared for a long review. =) Anyway, the story starts out I bought these speakers because they looked really nice. I did look online and checked the reviews.
Summary: would have given the speaker 5/5 rating (in my situation) if the finish would not have benn so reflective. But 5/5 for anyone else wanting a great speaker for the price. These replaced my NHT's. Another speaker
Pros: The pros for this speaker lay in the fit and finish of the speaker itself. Very nice piano black with very nice edging. The overall sound of this unit is on par with a speaker in the $500 to $700 range. So, good speaker for the money. Don't expect the level of B&W, Canton, Paradigm or other well ...
Cons: Big con that no one has mentioned is the shiny black finish. Now I know that I listed the finish as a plus (which it is), but that shiny surface reflects the image from the screen in a dimmly lit theater room. These were placed in my theater and within seconds I could see that it was a potential ...
