Summary: Bought on line and arrived promptly well packed. These are simply superb little speakers. The are bigger than most bookshelf speakers, which combined with their new speaker on a plinth design makes for superb bass response. Not overpowering , but powerful. I`m listening to Opeth Pale Communion as I type and it sounds nearly as good on these streaming from my computer into a dac and amp as my main system. Warm, detailed, and accurate.
Summary: After purchasing a new amplifier out of necessity, I was of the opinion that a new pair of speakers would be appropriate to bring out the best in it, taking into account technological advances. As the owner of a very capable Wharfdale sub woofer, the same brand was at the top of my list for consideration. I was aware of the reputation the Diamond series had attained over the past three decades. The 101’s had received good reviews and seemed very appealing at the price.
Summary: Having just got rid of some studio monitors I was dubious these would be comparable. They are better than expected by far. Fantastic clarity, good all round sound for speakers of this size and a very well developed sound enabling me to pick out everything in the music. I've paired them with the Wharfedale power cube which has helped get my bass sorted. Very pleased. At this price, I'm with What hifi - hard to beat.
Summary: Ive just ordered my second pair. These are excellent speakers no matter the source. Tv blu-ray cds over a wide eclectic mix of sounds and the radio. All sound great. I cant wait for the new speakers to complete my sound system.
Summary: Sound of these speakers is great. However, once I realised that I needed to buy stands for them (of a quality to match the speakers) - I quickly realised that for the same price I could buy some nice floor standing speakers! Doesn't matter - am very happy with the sound and the stands! Bought after reading What HiFi review.
A superb crystal clear large sound from small speakers.

Summary: I moved to a smaller property which could no longer realistically contain my older large floor speakers. After much research I selected the Wharfedale Diamond 121 bookshelf speakers. They are amazing and I am delighted with them. Their small size is of no relevance, they pump out the sound with ease, the definition between high treble and deep bass is clear and uncluttered with no distortion - even at higher volume.
Summary: Especially having read expert reviews concerning the finish where early production models left a little to be desired, the later ones are spot on it seems. These speakers hold their own and are enhanced from the Diamond 9.1 series in my opinion, which I have previously owned.
Summary: For their size and price these speakers are quite outstanding. Once mounted on stands and playing some of my favourite music the detail and balance of the sound was incredible, with a healthy amount of bass that belies their size. I would definitely recommend these speakers.
