very nice

hard 2 pleeze, Amazon
23 December 2012
  • Summary: silky sounds from small speaker. bass response good, but not a thumping bass. if you prefer something with a huge bass response and need to have volume at ear splitting levels, then you should look elsewhere. but if you appreciate great imaging and accurate reproduction these are the ones to get.

Excellent for their size and price

mcdowella, Amazon
27 April 2014
  • Summary: My amp drives two pairs of speakers, so I could compare these against a more expensive and much larger, but older, pair of floor-standing Yamahas (NS-45E). By choosing the right music, and concentrating, I can find a difference, but it's very small. These are ideal for extending my hi-fi to cover my computer desk, where I play classical and MOR music at moderate to low volumes.

Fantastic sound and looks

S. L. Butler "Simon Butler", Amazon
25 February 2014
  • Summary: I wanted to buy some beefier speakers to replace the front left and right speakers in my 5.1 system and so I took a punt on buying these, assuming they would be better than what I originally had. I am so pleased I did as they they are a great pair of speakers and have greatly improved my 5.1 system. I have an 11 year old ELAC Cinema 1 5.1 speaker system, and although this system still sounded pretty good when watching films, music was always lacking in bass.

Great speakers for a little room

samson631, Amazon
18 January 2014
  • Summary: At £100, these stylish bookshelves speakers are a steal. They offer a fantastic level of sound detail while punching quite a lot power despite their small size. Absolutely ideal for an office or a small room.

small, cheap, and very capable!

Joao I., Amazon
20 September 2013
  • Summary: I got these speakers to actually use in my computer desk, as I've found (cheap and more expensive) computer speakers to be lacking for any serious listening. My expectations: 1) Real hi-fi sound. 2) Small speakers, to sit on a desk without any problems. 3) Good bass extension. 4) Good quality 5) Cheap I must say they fill the requirements without problems!

A good purchase

Lewis Wheeler, Amazon
16 August 2013
  • Summary: Pro's + Cheap + Sound great, especially mids and highs - They sound better than any active speakers for this price + Look really nice especially with the dust covers off. Dust covers are easy to on/off CONS - They are PASSIVE speakers: This means you need a Amp (between 25 - 75w) and speaker cable, the wiring is extremely easy. I use a Pyle Home PCAU33 2x75W Amp and they sound great. Active speakers require no AMP as they are built into the speakers.
