Summary: I give this unit a 5 star rating because it looked good and worked fine and Newegg had it at my doorstep in 2 days. For the price of $99.99 I paid for it I am satisfied with an older refurbed unit. I don't hold Newegg responsible for the missing wall brackets. That was Vizio's fault when they repackaged the system. For 100 bucks it was worth the risk to buy this system with the limited warranty period.
Pros: I purchased this as a replacement for my 2.1 Altec Lansing system that began having troubles. It is vintage 2011 and does not have Bluetooth capability but I used a Bluetooth speaker adapter and plugged it into the analog input on this unit and it worked great. Plenty of volume for a 10x13 bedroom. Wireless sub worked perfectly and looked great, as well as the soundbar itself. The remote was a bit roughed up though. Remote controlled all the speaker settings like bass...
Cons: Checked all the included accessories but the wall brackets and wall layout template were missing. Had to engineer a wall mount for the soundbar. It was my intention to mount it to the wall and the ad copy said the mounts were included.
Summary: Bottom line: this is a great sound bar and sub combination. Great output, sub volume can be tapered, and quality isn't severely diminished by the wireless feature. Just don't use the sound stabilization option! I bought this sound bar with sub as TVs these days just don't seem to have the stock sound that they used to have. The sound bar portion is low profile so is great to hide under a TV without losing a lot of screen real estate.
Summary: I did a ton of research, and a lot of bargain-hunting before buying this unit. It was my first soundbar, but I've worked as an audio engineer for years, and particular to good quality audio. This unit mounted easily below a cheaper Haier TV set. Nice template for mounting and drillnig holes, took just a few minutes. I'm currently just using the 1/8th" input - coming from my HTPC.
Summary: I've had the refurbished sound bar for about 3 weeks and couldn't be more pleased. Unit arrived earlier than scheduled, well packed with everything needed in the box. The unit itself looks brand new, not a mark on it or the subwoofer that I could find. Connection was not difficult and works flawlessly. For me it was a great deal.
Summary: Inexpensive, easy to set up, great sound, lots of options for connections. There are nice options for adjusting the sound to what you prefer. System I received looks and sounds great. For only $150 it is a good purchase for us. We had another wired sound system with multiple speakers, the wires were difficult to hide and looked messy all of the time. The new Vizio system has as good or maybe better sound than the old wired sound system.
Summary: Stopped working within the first hour. Called Vizio, but because it was a refurb, they couldn't help me. Really liked the units functions and styling, but if it's not going to work, it's not useful to anyone. I did go back to Walmart.com, and saw that I could take it back to my local store. That's what I did, and bought a Vizio that was in stock, but it wasn't as nice as the one that I had gotten from Walmart.com. They need to carry more sound bars in their stores.
Summary: I bought a refurbished Visio VHT215 sound bar with wireless subwoofer because it was difficult to hear our large screen Samsung tv with the fan or air conditioner on. Even without other noise, the tv's speakers aren't great. Sometimes conversations on tv were hard to catch and we had to put the tv volume up high. We've only had the sound bar for a week but we can now watch the tv and hear above the fan or air conditioner without any problem in a fairly large living room.
Summary: Updated our living room and with no option for surround sound speaker system I opted to try a sound bar. The system was very easy to hook up and really sounds great. Love the fact that when the setting is turned on it actually reduces the volumes on commercials automatically. Sound is much much better than the TV itself...... mainly because of the wireless woofer. I also got rid of our big stereo speakers and hooked the CD player directly into the sound bar.
Summary: I purchased the VIZIO Sound Bar several weeks back and so far I am very pleased with the results. It definitely adds some bass bottom to the audio. I wish I could figure out how to hook my Philips HDTV up via a HDMI cable I bought, but so far I am not finding an HDMI "OUT" connection that I can hook to the soundbar. My current connection is via the headphone jack out from the TV and according the manual that is only a "good" way to connect the soundbar.
Summary: I am rating this sound bar as good and saying I would recommend to a friend because it was the 3rd one I had purchased. I had difficulty finding an affordable sound bar that was compatible with my television and satellite provider. This one was great! Pretty easy to set up. Looked like new and the sound was amazing!!! Imagine my disappointment when it suddenly quit working today, two weeks and two days after my purchase. I've reported the problem to Walmart...
