The Toshiba SBX4250 Sound Bar is more like a reciever.
5 October 2014
Summary: The Toshiba sound bar is rather unusual considering the number of inputs and ways to utilize its features. I is more like a receiver. Pros: Support for CEC (Remote control) and ARC (Audio return channel) via the 2 HDMI inputs allows the remote for the TV to control the sound bar. Turning on the system requires activating any source, like turning on a BD Player that will activate the entire system and select the correct input.
Summary: I bought this unit over a month ago from Big-Box. Install : DVD to the sound bars HDMI input, out of the HDMI output to the Samsung 55" HDMI input. Easy install. Wireless subwoofer is in close proximity to Tv stand. Sub faces wall and port faces open air (not towards viewers). Impressive sound for a 6.5" sub. Im guessing other reviewers are expecting the bass reproduction of 2)12" subs. Great surround sound from the bar. Just like my 1998 Optimus 5.1 600 watt.
Summary: Sound bar sometimes does nt connect well. The sound is amazing , but wireless thing is stupid. They need improve wire connection.the deal is amazing n refund for us, n paid for post fee. We really appreciate. We will buy stuff from this dealer again for sure.
Summary: Sounds good, looks good and fits perfectly under my 46 inch tv. Had to use the Arc hdmi input to get it to work with the direct tv remote. That was not specified in the user manual and I found it by trial and error.
Summary: I bought this for my computer center. Setup was super easy. I'm using the optical hookups for both the PC and the cable box. The only thing I would like to see different is, I wish it had "smart" inputs so that it would automatically switch according to the device you are using. Sound is great! Setup couldn't be easier, just turn it on and listen.
