Summary: Okay. i wrote a raving review before i checked out all options. I watched Jurassic Park to test this soundbar and it was amazing. Since then, I've seen Dexter and the theme song had some weird clicks in it (which i thought might be in the original theme song; just never heard it because i never had such amazing speakers) and a little bit of crackley noise. This morning, i listened to a song on Spotify...new review: D.
Summary: Cons: Bluetooth connectivity horrible. The rightmost speaker had a strange buzzing sound at higher volume. Bass not that good and system distorts badly at higher volume. Pros: simple and easy to use front controls. Plenty of inputs for audio (2 HDMI in, one HDMI out, two toslink in, etc) looks good? I returned mine to best buy after a couple of hours.
Summary: Sound is improved over internal speakers on my Sharp LC-60-LE640, but I should have returned this instead of accepting that ARC isn't compatible between my TV and the speaker system. Initially, I could get sound through the ARC connection, but it became a hassle. I had to manually select ARC every time I turned the TV on, and about half the time the ARC setting would not stick on the Toshiba device, and it would roll over to the next setting (to which no device was...
Summary: Purchased with a 55 inch Sony TV with down firing speakers. TV speakers actually sound better so I took it out. Hoping to use it with PC, so far I haven't been able to make that work. Instruction book poorly written, on line support not much better.
Summary: Rarely find a cable channel that voice is not muffled. EQ is a waste. You can't control voice with treble settings. If you want to hear any voice you pretty much have to shut the woofer off. It seems every channel I have to move volume up or down 20% to hear or not rattle my basement. It's decent for gaming. Bluetooth is cool if you want to link iPod or other similar device. I have a Sony also and the sound is much better on that one.
Summary: This sound bar did not meet my expectations. It was able to produce very loud sound but it was not as clear as I had hoped. I also had trouble with the bluetooth, when the connecting device is more than 5 feet away audio skips very often and their is significant sound lag (more than 1 second). Ultimately, I returned it to Best Buy and got an Onkyo 2.1 system with no hassles. Thanks Best Buy.
Pros: Simple to use, lots of inputs
Cons: Average sound quality, bluetooth range was terrible
Summary: Opened up the box, set it up and it worked for 3 whole days. Considered returning it to the store but I saw paperwork in the box directing me to contact Toshiba directly. When I did they told me they would call me back within a week. 10 days later I get a call telling me that I may purchase a new one and send back the broken one for a credit approximately 4 to 6 weeks away so I would have to buy a new unit and hope they credited my funs back to my credit card.
Pros: only bluetooth works. great for a 300 dollar pandora speaker
Summary: Just called Toshiba and they directed me to a web site to answer any problem that I have. They don't answer your questions until after you visit the web site first. That's not good customer support. [...
Summary: Not very good considering the price. I do enjoy the sound output, but the user experience leaves much to be desired: - The unit will not automatically turn on and off with my TV. My TV is a newer Toshiba. I am disappointed with the need for a separate remote to turn this unit on and off. - The unit will not increase or decrease in volume when I use my Toshiba TV remote. Another need for this separate remote. - The remote does not seem very responsive.
Summary: The only issue was that it reduced my resolution from 2550x1880 down to 1980x1200. Plus my monitor isn't wall mounted so unless I position my computer monitor as I would a TV ... since it's made for a TV ... it's just not that useful as computer speakers. Thank god for returning quickly.
