A nice addition...

Gene K. (aka Tyronious Ledbedder Beaver-Bottom), Amazon
6 days ago
  • Summary: A great addition to a set of TIC Corporation TFS10-CN 8-Inch 175-Watt Terra-Forms Pro-Series speakers. Not the cleanest bass I've heard, but then I have some VERY high end indoor equipment. This adds just the right amount of low end punctuation to fill out the sound.

Not enough instructions for setup.

K. Niles, Amazon
23 April 2013
  • Summary: There were only two documents that came with the speaker. I took it to Radio Shack and Best Buy and they were confused as well. I found a wiring diagram on the TIC website that made the wiring clear. This should have been shipped with the speaker.

Fills low end into outside pool area.

MJC "mjc", Amazon
18 January 2013
  • Summary: This is not a powered subwoofer, so you'll need to run the both Left and Right speaker wires from your amp to this subwoofer, then from this subwoofer to your left and right speaker wires. Depending upon the location of your amp and L/R speakers this might be easy or not. For me, it was pretty easy, based upon location.

Great look for a rock garden and it will blend in,not a thumper

dean3203, Ebay
5 November 2012
  • Summary: Great price and great look as it blended in to my customers rock garden nicely, the sound is deep but not super strong so this must be used in a closer area to your mid, high speaker choice, I used it to accent the highs and used a stronger one on the opposite side of a pool where there is more clutter. If you are in a normal sized backyard setting for sound this should be great all the way around and the build is very nice quality looking to the human eyes.

Nice outdoor sub

Harold M. Spriddle, Amazon
24 September 2012
  • Summary: I purchased this sub to go along with 4 Tic tfs6cn8 for my yard, I have it hooked up to a Speakercraft 8 ch amp and I do hear more bass with the sub hooked up. I plan on bridging this sub at the amp for more power, but overall it's pretty good. Tic does have bigger subs if you think this wont fit your application. The sub also has 2 pass through wires so you can add another sub or speakers directly off of this sub.

Lasted two summers

Russ S., Amazon
19 August 2011
  • Summary: I bought this to fill in the bottom end on my pool zone and it does the job well. It's not an earthquake-style sub by any means, rather it rounds out the low end in a sonically transparent way that makes a huge difference in sound. Even my wife and her friend, who never notice this kind of stuff, both remarked how much better the system sounds. Visually it's a very handsome rock. Unfortunately, after two years the sub went dead.

Could have been better

M. Bohannan, Amazon
2 August 2011
  • Summary: This speaker looks Nice, the cabinet(?)is well built and sealed, feels solid and fairly heavy especially considering it's very reasonable price, but has disappointing sound and low volume in comparison to even a low wattage powered sub. I purchased this subwoofer for an outdoor pergola I just built. I was going to use it in conjunction with a pair of outdoor Sonance speakers mounted under the eaves of the pergola.

Great outdoor speaker!!!

rodneygranell, Amazon
19 June 2011
  • Summary: I was not sure if an outdoor subwoofer was going to make a difference on my pool area; boy I was wrong; this speaker makes a huge difference, I have two polk atrium speakers on hanging on a wall and 2 nile 6.5 rock speakers and this subwoofer blends perfectly with them and it makes a whole new impact on my outdoor nights; you can feel the punch of the lows and music sounds as it should!

Excellent sound, great appearance, limited life

R. Pick, Amazon
18 June 2010
  • Summary: UPDATE: 8/1/2013 - this unit died after 2.5 years. It really should last longer for the price. Paint is also flaking off and has faded substantially. I've taken away two stars for this. While it worked, it sounded great and looked good. Bought this for use near our new pool, to flesh out the bass for our outdoor sound system. It adds substantial and great sounding bass, complementing our two tweeter/mid-range speakers.

TIC TFS10 Outdoor Rock Speakers, TFS50 Outdoor Rock Subwoofer, TFS5 Rock Speakers

TIC Corporation
13 June 2010
  • Excerpt: Just wanted to drop you all a note to say how pleased I am with the Omni speakers. They sound wonderful!! I was worried about not being able to hear the music and would the speakers be strong enough. What a surprise! I ordered 4 speakers, 2 speakers fill my pool area and my neighbors yards with a great sound. BTW, the extra two speakers allow me to hear my music without blasting my neighbors (and we're on 3+ acre lots!). Many thanks for the excellent service.
