Summary: I installed these in our back yard around the patio. They sound great, very full. Happy to be able to listen to music while entertaining in the back yard. I have them connected to the second channel on my Onkyo receiver and as such I can control the tunes with my phone. I would definitely purchase again.
Summary: After looking through these reviews, it seems that many are comparing the TIC GS-3 to the BOSE Freespace 51 and are curious to know the difference between the two (especially with the huge price difference). I don't own a GS-3 myself, however, I do have a pair of the BOSE Freespace 51's. While on vacation recently, I was able to listen to and inspect some TIC GS-3's that were installed at Movie World (a theme park in Australia).
Summary: I have had the opportunity to listen to many outdoor speakers. These caught my ear at Disney, and after researching them, I purchased them despite their cheap price. My entire house is hard wired with speakers including kitchen, dining room, bedroom, living room, tv room, fireplace room, porch, deck. The only area that needed to be done was by the pool. I wired these in serial with the deck speakers, and I can't believe how rich the sound is.
Summary: I purchased 2 of these speakers for my back yard. The highs sound greatr but I was expecting more bass out of them. I have them tied into my inside receiver which is sharing another set of speakers so that may be my problem. Going to attempt to hook them up to speakers B on my receiver to see if the bass sound improves.
Summary: I bought these and a pair of BOSE in ground speakers at the same time, hooked them up next to each other and listened. In my opinion they sound the same. In fact, I think these speakers have a little more bass than the Bose. So I promptly return the more expensive speakers and have been enjoying these for years!!
