good value for the money

Summary: The high frequencies and mid range are very good. The base is very boomy. I bought a yamaha sws 315 powered sub woofer to help. Turned down the base control on the amp going to the Sonys. They sounded better. However, the Yamaha sub is also boomy and did not reproduce low freq. very well. I keep adjusting the frequency threshold and volume on the Yamaha trying to get a good ballance.
Summary: I was eskeptical at first. i didn't want to spend more than 800 for a pair of front speaker. I had in mind Klipts, polk, whartdale, mirage, energy n B&W at last. but after looking n seeing so many good reviews for the F7000 I thought i gave then a try n save $ And just return them if i don't like them. I was blown away by the clr sound n power!
Pros: They sound great!! great finish looking without the grills
Cons: They sound just as good as the 500 to 1000 ea price brands
Summary: UPDATE: after running these for just over a year - lets clear up alot of the ASTOUNDING reviews. Realize that to get the best sound out of any speaker does not begin with the speaker itself but with the amp/receiver that pushes them. I would NOT buy these to plug into some home theater kit bundle receiver - that wont cut, even just on the power rating alone.
