Summary: Just had to say in writing my thoughts on these Floor Standing Speakers! The speakers are about 42" from base to top. They are 4-way,that is 2 woofers, a mid-range,and a tweeter. And they perform very well. I am a classical devotee, and these speakers work well with that genre of music.
Summary: i recently purchased these speakers after much deliberation and review reading online and i gotta say i am not disappointed in the least. i have no complaints and all apprehension was cast away the first time i turned them on. these things sound great!
Summary: I already owned the ss-f5000 and ss-cn5000for fronts and center and although I was overall happy I wanted to complete my 5.1 with sony speakers. After buying theseand moving the ss5000s to the rear my whole family commented on the diference in volume clarity and detail.
Summary: I was always an anti-sony person but I gave these a shot after seeing the price and reviews. I usually shell out the extra money for big name brands and hyped products and I think this is my favorite purchase of them all. I don't think I've ever been more satisfied with a purchase before.
Summary: well i have got to say i wasnt really sure if i was going to like these speakers just based on the price, plus sony didnt really have a good rep for speakers. let me tell you I WAS WRONG! these speaker have great range good bass response very good mid range.
Summary: Once you crank the right volume level into them they don't sound too bad. A bit tight on the soundstage and the seperation of instruments but for the price they make a decent basis of a moderately priced surround sound system.
Summary: I just got a pair of these after purchasing a pair of the SSF6000 speakers. Considering how great the single woofer SSF6000 sounded I figured this'll be even better considering the price difference. They were good but nowhere close or as tight as the SSF6000s.
