Summary: I am quite the Audiophile and have just recently put together my first Home Theater system. Was looking for a set of speakers to finish out my home theater system. I have I Yamaha Receiver 90w per channel and was actually looking for Yamaha speakers for the set. I went out speaker shopping and came across this set of Sony speakers sitting right next to a set of yamaha speakers of almost the same set up. I was blown away at the sound these Sony speakers put out.
Summary: I was skeptical that a good product would be sold at such a low price, but Sony has done it. I pump 100 watts per speaker and they are great. This produce sounds extremely well and they have a great bass. When I max out the volume on the amp, my house shakes, and I'm in a basement of a two story house!! I have to say that music sounds awesome, and they still work well when watching a movie or TV show.
Pros: "boom boom bow", Attractive Design, Easy Setup, Full range of sound, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Summary: i recently purchased these speakers after much deliberation and review reading online and i gotta say i am not disappointed in the least. i have no complaints and all apprehension was cast away the first time i turned them on. these things sound great! the highs are clear, the bass is readily available, they look cool, and they're a steal! my only complaint is that I'm in an apt and cant play them as loud as i want and trust me, if you buy them-you'll want to.
Summary: I already owned the ss-f5000 and ss-cn5000for fronts and center and although I was overall happy I wanted to complete my 5.1 with sony speakers. After buying theseand moving the ss5000s to the rear my whole family commented on the diference in volume clarity and detail. We listened to music watched some movies and could see a huge diferrence especially at lower volumes. For the same results the ss-f5000's I had to crank the volume real loud.
Excerpt: I've had these speakers for about three weeks now and let me tell you, they sound amazing. The first week or two, I was not as satisfied, but I remained patient as you must allow time for them to break in. Now these speakers sound great. The bass output from these are very tight and accurate. The highs are blend in with the mids and bass very well to create a crystal clear sound. They look very nice, and blend in with the rest of my speakers very well.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy Setup, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Summary: The speakers deliver clear, uncolored sound, able to accentuate the warmth of analog vinyl or the brilliance of CDs. These qualities, considering their reasonable price, make them an excellent value.I have had Sony speakers before and find them to be reliable components.
Summary: I watched these and read reviews about them. It's hard to decide on speakers when you can't hear them.I got them delivered to my door for around $224.For this price they are a great deal. They look big and impressive and sound full and rich.If you bought a higher end brand, you could'nt buy a single(one)speaker for the price of this pair.
Summary: I was always an anti-sony person but I gave these a shot after seeing the price and reviews. I usually shell out the extra money for big name brands and hyped products and I think this is my favorite purchase of them all. I don't think I've ever been more satisfied with a purchase before. These speakers sound amazing! If you're using them in a smaller room I don't think a subwoofer is even necessary. These speakers are great!
