Excerpt: I've had these speakers for about three weeks now and let me tell you, they sound amazing. The first week or two, I was not as satisfied, but I remained patient as you must allow time for them to break in. Now these speakers sound great. The bass output from these are very tight and accurate. The highs are blend in with the mids and bass very well to create a crystal clear sound. They look very nice, and blend in with the rest of my speakers very well.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy Setup, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Summary: The speakers deliver clear, uncolored sound, able to accentuate the warmth of analog vinyl or the brilliance of CDs. These qualities, considering their reasonable price, make them an excellent value.I have had Sony speakers before and find them to be reliable components.
Summary: I watched these and read reviews about them. It's hard to decide on speakers when you can't hear them.I got them delivered to my door for around $224.For this price they are a great deal. They look big and impressive and sound full and rich.If you bought a higher end brand, you could'nt buy a single(one)speaker for the price of this pair.
Summary: I was always an anti-sony person but I gave these a shot after seeing the price and reviews. I usually shell out the extra money for big name brands and hyped products and I think this is my favorite purchase of them all. I don't think I've ever been more satisfied with a purchase before. These speakers sound amazing! If you're using them in a smaller room I don't think a subwoofer is even necessary. These speakers are great!
Summary: well i have got to say i wasnt really sure if i was going to like these speakers just based on the price, plus sony didnt really have a good rep for speakers. let me tell you I WAS WRONG! these speaker have great range good bass response very good mid range. I have always been a fan of polk audio in fact i bought these sonys to complete my set of polk monitor50s with a center channel to match my set up for my home theater.
Excerpt: My wife made me give up my almost 40 year old Sansui receiver and Coral speakers. So after I sold them, I opted to get the Sony 7000's, Sony 2500 sub-woofer and Sony center channel speaker to go along with the new Yamaha v465 receiver that I bought. I decided on the 7000s rather than the Sony 5000 or 6000 because of the larger woofer in the speaker.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy Setup, Easy to Mount, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Summary: These are great speakers for the price! And they look great. Of course there are better sound quality speakers out there, but then you're spending over $500. In this case, i believe you get more than you pay for. My only compliant is that the bass could be tighter.
Summary: Once you crank the right volume level into them they don't sound too bad. A bit tight on the soundstage and the seperation of instruments but for the price they make a decent basis of a moderately priced surround sound system. Alone in stereo mode they can simply be described as more than adequate for the price.
