Fine speakers for the money

Summary: I am a musician, composer and arranger. I have a very sensitive ear, and being able to hear each and every instrument in an orchestra in my speakers is vitally important to me. But I am most assuredly not an "audiophile." It's been my experience 99% of high end audio components are sold by salesmen who only have technical knowledge of what they sell and no ear for music. They tend to consider the worth of an audio component based on price (more is better, right?
Summary: I have these setup with a sub for my HDTV and they sound great. As far as music goes they get LOUD. I can crank them up to almost full volume before getting any distortion and even without the sub I get Bass that hits you in the chest and shakes the room. The highs and midrange are excellent. I highly recommend these especially at the low price amazon has them at. They look great with or without the grills.

Summary: okay I'll try not to keep this all blown out of proportion, I bought a set over a year and a half ago, love them. recently my dad needed a set of speaker so I bought him a set. I also own a really expensive Polk Audio system, so I know quality sound when I hear it. these speakers are worth every penny plus some.
Summary: This is my second pair of Sony Speakers-F5000, great speakers, of course Sony is good regardless of the low end or high end price. I still have my first pair which is about 10 years old and the only reason there is a problem is because I have a 20 year old son who likes loud music and blew a woofer. Great quality sound either with music or surround movie sound.
Summary: Amazing quality for the price - I am running with a Sony STR-DH800 7.1 receiver - a set of 5 klipsch speakers and an Onkyo Subwoofer. This really helps deliver the mids - I still would use a subwoofer - but this perfectly rounded things out for me :) I may buy another set for my rear speakers!
Summary: After reading many positive reviews I was excited to get these speakers. I hooked them up with 12 gauge wire also bought through amazon. I have a 5.1 setup with an onkyo receiver, onkyo sub and energy speakers. The energy speaker package is highly rated here on amazon as well and does and amazing job with movie surround sound. It lacks lusture though when playing music.
Summary: They arrived quickly, sounded great, and look awesome. No scratches or imperfections. The bass response is tight and the mids and highs are too. Sounds sweet in our den. If you want BOOM, then buy bigger speakers. If you are a true audiophile, then pay more. If you want quality sound at a fair price, then these are the speakers to get.
Summary: perfect for my living room. they are nice and small for floor speakers and sound great. they are hooked up to our old sansui qrx6500 quad reciever. they dont sound as good as our old advents, but those were $125 each back in 1971, these were $149 for the pair. And I'm getting old now, I dont need to crank it to 11.
Best deal! But price has gone up due to rare earth metal shortage.

Summary: $149 for TWO tower speakers from an established brand?! Are you kidding me?! I am from China, where all sorts of electronics at every price point are sold. Even the cheapest junk speakers in China cost more than these! Sound quality is accurate and outstanding but maybe slightly cold and rigid. If you like the sound of typical Sony speakers (inaccurate but warm and pleasant) you may be surprised. The sound was not very good out of the box.
