Summary: Our sound system is pretty basic (and *OLD*!! - A TEAC AG-D8900 receiver, a couple of JBL LX-300 side speakers, and an old PolkAudio PSW120 powered subwoofer, and that was IT! We knew we needed to get a center channel speaker, and the price was right, so we got it.
Summary: The speaker was and still is a great speaker, although I got so much sound from it, it blasted off my bookshelf and busted a speaker, I had to replace it but seeing how this speaker is rather popular I couldn't find it anymore, the replacement I found that beats this by far and is triple the size is...
Summary: I bought the Sony SS-CN5000 to be part of the apartment home theater I'm creating on a meat-and-potatoes budget. So for $70 shipped it sure fit my price qualifications. I'm very happy to report that it fit all of my listening qualifications as well!
Summary: The Sony SS-CN5000 center channel speaker was exactly what I needed having recently purchased Sony SS-F6000 tower speakers as I continue to modify what was once a 2004 home theater in a box. The receiver has been replaced a third time to the 7.2 STR-DH820 for 3D.
Summary: I`ve had this center speaker in service for only 2 months and i am quit satisfied. I played around with different center channel speakers; two old ones I have and two borrowed from friends. The Sony SS-CN5000 performed the best.
Summary: This is a great center channel speaker. I had a $200 sound bar center channel before and this speaker blows that away. Very crisp and clear sound. A lot of the sound from movies is from the center channel and this speaker does a good job of delivering it.
Summary: I have had this center channel for over a month now. It is easily as good as Polk, Cerwin Vega, Klipsh and others that I have listened to. Just better priced. The sound stage is excellent and its dynamic range is very good.
