Summary: If you want amazing sound and have $700 to burn, this is not the speaker for you. There's no low end whatsoever. Now if you have $1400 to burn then definitely get this and the Sonos Sub and you're good to go.
Summary: Surprisingly crisp and deep. The sound bar is the only source of music and sound from the television for my living, kitchen and breakfast rooms (open concept). The sound is phenomenal, especially the bass it carries without a sub. I chose to keep it simple with the design in my living area, so I mounted the speaker and television, which combined look very sleek and modern. I absolutely recommend getting one if your budget allows for it.
Summary: I had cold feet about buying this sound bar. I had a Boston Tvee 25 at the time and it provided me with rather good sound for the price. However, I work in retail, and after hearing enough sound bars and seeing the one you want everyday you eventually commit. I purchased the Playbar and two Play:3s for surround sound. While the surround sound makes me very happy. The money for two Play:3s would have been better spent on a Sub for the bar.
My music and media listening have forever been changed. Thank you Sonos!

Summary: A great sounding surround alternative, but is far more valuable than any other soundbar. It has the ability to network in two surround back speakers using their Play 3s. Device also can have a sweet wireless sub attached. I have epic sound in my home with this thing. Better than that, it is a full media streaming device so I can play Pandora, Amazon, my computer, iphone, ipad music, you name it.
Summary: Great product, easy set-up, easy integration with the other Sonos components. Over-priced for what it is, but that's true for all the Sonos companents. I supposed that you're paying for a very good prodcut that is simple to use. Holding off on buying the sub-woofer, as the system souds fine and so not sure about another $700 investment at this time.
Summary: The soundbar sounds pretty good for TV and movies (though I didn't expect a ton there), but it's a huge upgrade over the TV speakers. It sounds phenomenal for music, far better than anything that size has any right to sound. The Sonos software makes it really easy to set up, and to stream music from my phone, network, or the internet, and I've found myself using that much more than I expected simply because it's so easy to do.
Summary: The Playbar by Sonos is fantastic. Audio quality is excellent for both television and music. Setup is very simple. The Playbar is very well made and works very well with the Sonos sub and the Sonos Play3. My only disappointment was that the Playbar does not allow the Play5 to be used as a surround speaker. Recommended!
Summary: I am thrilled onbce again by Sonos products, I didnt need a much more expensive home theater to get great rich sounds, and by incorporating the playbar TV not only did I get great sound in my TV, I can listen to my tv shows while I walk around the house(go to the bathroom or the kitchen)
