  • Summary: Even the employee's at electronic stores have warned me about this but I got it anyway. Pros: It looks f***ing amazing with my setup (55slim led) Cons: I didn't buy it for the looks I purchased it for samsung quality and this one falls short At a medium volume I feel like the speaks cannot handle the sound and make this faint annoying sound, others may not hear it but it gets REALLY annoying when watching movies I'm truly disappointed beware

Sound lags behind real time.

J. Brick, Amazon
10 February 2013
  • Summary: If you like the sound coming out of the mouth of a TV character lagging behind their lip movement, this is the product for you. This product has a built-in latency of around 100 ms, meaning the sound that comes out of the speakers is a 1/10 of a second behind what happens on the screen. You'd think that would be too small to notice, but it's not. It comes with a latency adjustment, and I have that set to 0.

When working it's pretty good

J. T. Marsh "truth seeker", Amazon
2 December 2012
  • Summary: Liked the idea of two vertical speakers vs a horizontal soundbar. The two speakers are connected via speaker wire and power only connected to the right speaker. HDMI or optical cable from TV and other devices connect to the subwoofer and sends sound to the two speakers wirelessly. This means the sub must be close to the TV. Problem started day one. It took almost 10 minutes trying to figure out how to sync the sub wirelessly to the speakers.

Bad buy

A, Amazon
18 November 2012
  • Summary: So we bought this bc best buy didn't have any in stock. It was a gift so at 29 days after purchase we went to install it and the sound bar and subwoofer would not link it kept saying check subwoofer after many calls to Samsung we had to get the item serviced. It's brand spanking new and the return policy on this item through amazon says it has to be unopened. I wish I had ordered this from best buy and I would just return it.

" Wireless subwoofer"?????!!!!!!!

Matt, Amazon
8 November 2012
  • Summary: I previously purchased a Samsung sound bar and was thoroughly impressed. It had a wireless subwoofer.I got to hider the subwoofer out of sight. Good thing, that black box didn't fit the decor. The box said wireless subwoofer. That's why I bought it. Now I purchased this model for the same reason " wireless subwoofer" . Says it on 5 of the 6 sides of the box! This subwoofer is even larger than the previous model! And it sure as hell is anything but wireless!

Deception. The Subwoofer IS NOT WIRELESS

K. Anderson, Amazon
5 September 2012
  • Summary: I purchased this because is was supposedly a newer, better, faster version of the HW-D551 sound bar a friend had. It is not the same. The HW-D551 actually has wires that connect (HDMI etc) to the sound bar that sits underneath your television, this version does not. This version requires that you run wires from the subwoofer to the television and it is the speakers that are wireless?!?!.
