Summary: After I retired I decided to update my Marantz amp, Pioneer CD player and Tannoy speakers for the Marantz 6005 amp and CD player and the Concepts. At first the Concepts were ok but I wondered if I had been rash on my splurge; but by the second and following days they opened up and I could really understand what the raves were all about.
Summary: These speakers have great clarity, you can really hear each strand of the music. They have great rhythm and timing. They are better than more expensive speakers. Compact yes, that's a benefit. Lack of bass, no way its clear foot tapping bass as opposed to muddy bass which some bigger speakers deliver.
Summary: The speakers are absolutely beautiful with the stands!!! They are of a great building quality and the sound is gorgeous, it is rich powerful but at the same time precise!! I'm incredibly happy with this purchase and I strongly advise anyone looking for great quality without losing on the design side to purchase this set.
Summary: These get better and better. I've owned a pair with matching stands for 6 months and they continue to amaze me. In fact, they seem to improve more over time and I can't think of any reason to upgrade right now. The bass, though not ultra-deep, is beautifully defined and the soundstage is wide and totally immersive. Take care with positioning and you'll be rewarded with a punchy, balanced, well-defined and non-fatiguing sound. Highly recommended!
Summary: Goods were delivered very swiftly in solid, secure packaging. The assembly instruction were, for once, very easy to follow; I had it all put together in 15 minutes. I bi-wired them and the sound is absolutely fantastic, exactly what I'd hope foir. In this price range I can't believe you will find better speakers.
Summary: Really glad I tested these. They are just what I was after. I predominantly listen to jazz and house, and yet, I like my music detailed and intricate and smooth. These speakers deliver for my budget. Plus they look pretty cool. If you like a massive, sickly punch of bass thump for your house music these ARE NOT for you, consider the Ikon Dali 3, but if you want to hear detail in every sample, trumpet and snare and not break the bank, then give them a demo.
Summary: When I first set these up, I thought they were good, but couldn't quite understand what all the excitement was about. However I took care to run them in for 48hrs at a moderate volume and they got better and better and now I can truly hear why the have been raved about. The detail and separation across the spectrum is remarkable for a £350 pair of speakers, from plenty of clear, un-muddled bass to bright but not harsh top end.
Pros: sound quality , big sound , small size
Cons: rear ported so can't be used near a wall , shinny finish shows every spec of dust
Summary: I heard these speakers when I went in to purchase my CA 651A amp - they sounded excellent in the demo room I looked at the 2020i 's and they sounded excellent but these bad boys although quite a bit more are nothing bar fantastic, nothing in that price range came anywhere near them.
Summary: These speakers really are fantastic for the size and price. They deliver a neutral sound, with punchy, clear bass and great mids and highs. Just after I bought mine, a friend came over to check them out and he was really impressed and he asked me to turn them up to see how they performed at high volume levels and they still sounded just as awesome.
