Excerpt: After adding a deck to my house I wanted some speakers to add for outdoor use so I decided to purchase these. I purchased them from Wal-Mart and at the time of purchase I paid 50 dollars for them.
Excerpt: These speakers are decent sounding for a home deck or surround but will not handle the claimed 100 - 500 watts. Maybe 50 watts tops. This isn't the first time I have seen Pyle speakers with a absurd power rating stamped on a under-powered speaker. I don't know why they do it.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy to Mount, Great Sound Quality
Summary: These little speakers are truly terrible. The build quality seems good but the sound: aagghh! The high frequencies are certainly there. In your face there. The speakers sound beamingly bright. In fact, down right shrill. They could be adapted from a British World War II air raid warning siren. I mean, really bright! It would not be so bad if the bass kept up. But the bass is absent. Totally absent. I think the "woofer" is completely ornamental.
Summary: These speakers perform very well for the patio and garden. They are plenty loud and sound fine in a less-than-critical listening environment. As other reviewers have noted, the mounting brackets are very flimsy, and the speakers cannot be mounted horizontally without some sort of a brace to hold them up so they won't point at the ground. There were no installation instructions, so I'm still not sure what all of the bolts were for.
Summary: We ordered these speakers for an outside wedding on July 9th, got everything wired in, and one of the speakers didn't work the way we needed. The speaker died July 1st, and these guys are in the US, so I was unable to contact them until July 5th. I called in and was greeted by a friendly human voice on the 1st ring, she took my information, and I inquired if it was possible to have this by the weekend for our event, truly not expecting there to be anything they could do,...
Summary: I recently purchased the pyle pro PDWR50B and love them .I have them installed outside about 1 foot below the eavestrough to give better bass and help protect from rain . Even though they are outdoor speakers does not mean you should put then in open contact with rain, etc. Also take down in winter if not outside to enjoy. I have an outside pool and a campfire situated about 100' away and these speakers throw the sound out great and I have tried other ones before this.
