Summary: I remodeled my hall walk-in closet turning it into a powder room and installed 1. Installed #2 in hall ceiling. 70 watt amplifier powers them great. Their really flat on the ceiling. I have floor speakers in living area and put in the ceiling speakers so i don't loose audio in the hallway. I bought rf headphones to try but they sucked. They make good audio out.
Summary: This speaker's transformer allows you to bring audio where you normally wouldn't be able to due to lack of power. Even better, it fits flush into your ceiling, up where no one will notice it. Combined with floor speakers, this unassuming wonder of technology will let you create an actual surround sound system -- literally.
Summary: Tried to replace a surround sound satelite with this but no amount of setup adjustment on the receiver would compensate for lower volume from this speaker. Looked like the impedence and sensitivity ratings were good enough before buying it but a failed experiment. It is likely suitable for many uses and may have cost less than the white speaker grille that comes with it from anywhere else they can be had.
