Summary: These were purchased as a bargain replacement for a pair of rather ancient JVC bookshelf speakers I was using for surround in our bedroom. They are at least as good of quality as one would expect for the price. Not a major name brand here, but they certainly do the job of supplying the surround sounds in our mini-bedroom theatre. If you're looking for something to handle major levels of power or fill a huge room, you may want to spend more.
Summary: I wasn't expecting this type of speaker at this price, they are great. My playing of some very authentic sounding action movies was phenomenal from these speakers. I was upgrading and thought these a temporary solution. Not now, they are permanent for my home theater system.
Summary: I took a chance with these speakers, seeing some good and some bad reviews. Not sure how they stack up against other speakers out there - heck, you'd expect more from JBL and Bose, but look at the price of those! I'm using one each, for a pair of shortwave and HAM radios. They're absolutely better than "dedicated" speakers by the electronics manufacturers. A low end ICOM speaker is in the range of $100 and not nearly as nice. Good size, fits in with my own radios well.
Summary: These speakers exceeded my expectations and are well worth the price. One could spend more and not get speakers that are as good as these. I simple wanted to compliment a 35 dollar set of Sonys to play records on an old quadraphonic system and they worked well.
