Excerpt: This is by far the worst internet purchase I have ever made. The plastic speaker grills are mounted to the metal cabinets by plastic posts with screws in from the back. Both of the speaker grills were broken from those posts, That's 8 screws that failed before I even received the product. I always knew Radio Shack was on the "low end" but this is just junk!
Summary: I bought these speakers to replace a pair of large rear surround speakers. These Pyle speakers really did the job. I have a DVD diagnostic disc that nto only cleans the Blu. Ray player lens, but also tests the individual surround speakers. This test proved their worth. It is also apparent when I play loud action scenes.
Summary: The speakers in my work truck were worn and the surrounds shot. I needed something to replace them but didn't want to spend much because it is parked in a lot and has a potential to get broken into. After reading the specs and reviews I decided they would work ok. Shipping was fast and intact as usual. All new speakers need a break- in time before you get the full potential of it. The sound of these is mediocre at best.
Excerpt: Although these aren't fancy satellite Bose speakers, they definitely do the job of providing surrounds in a 7.1 setup. Bought these after upgrading from a 5.1 to a 7.1 receiver and didn't want to spend a fortune on speakers. For the low cost I paid, they are decently built and seem pretty solid. I've read other reviews saying how cheaply these are built and that they fall apart, but I don't see that happening unless these take a hard drop to the ground.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight
