Summary: I have two of these that I power with a Carvin DMC2000. They handle the power well, and they have some low end, but to my ear, they don't seem to cover the low spectrum as advertised with that boom in your chest you get from a set of JBL's (short XMax). However, these things are dirt cheap, and the enclosure is decent, so if the drivers fail, they can be re-used. I have an active crossover, so I can't comment on the internal one.
Summary: live sound.a good starting point.trapezoid shape poses a bit of a challenge if stacking speakers on top of them.the internal choke smokes out if driven hard.recomend removal and use of bi-amp system
Summary: the handles suck they brake off very easly they are realy cheaply made handles. they say they are made of heavy duty construction but their not! they are made of thiner wood and thiner grill that dints easly. Also its hard to find a power amp that can give you the power you need to run them at 8ohms other then that i don't have any porblems with them. but not a bad price to pay for a couple subs.
Summary: This speaker handles the wattage rated. I run a pair with a NADY 2100 amp.I am using a sound enhancer to boost the bass response. Without it the speakers don't have the presence or "punch"I desire. For the price this speaker is an unbelievable value. The weight of these speakers (70lbs) also makes transporting easy.
Summary: Have 2 of these with 500 watts going to each speaker. PROS: Very Good sounding speaker, never distorts, amazing acoustics, they will make the hair on your head move. CONS: None really the only problem on mine is that the screws were somehow striped on the grill and it cause a little vibration noise, fixed with locktight.
