Awesome !!!

Var, Amazon
13 December 2014
  • Summary: A great sounding and beautifully designed towers. Have been using for about 2 weeks now and enjoying music and movies with no added Sub. I have compared similar towers available in stores, they sound good, some are really warm which is not my preference, and almost all of them are boxy.

Bi-amp the beast's

bob and cheryl, Amazon

  • Summary: it's not about volume [ yes they rock] it's physics. the woofers 'slow down' the current [8 ohms resistance] they share with the tweeter and mid-range's. the tweeter and mid-range's just reproduce the sound better with 'cleaner' current flow. Halestorm rocks!

Awesome Speakers

E. lovell, Amazon
1 July 2014
  • Summary: The sound was everything i had hoped for, finally i have a set of speakers worthy of my reciever. Live Music is like being there in person and it hits all the highs and lows just right. For music no subwoofer is needed, especiall for older stereos. in a surround sound although you can do without a sub, to get the chair moving you will need one behind it.

Impressive speakers at a great price!

Douglas Wigand, Amazon

  • Summary: These speakers are great. You can use them close to a back wall because they don't have rear firing speakers like most floor standing speakers! That was a main reason I bought them. They are well made, heavy and even though they are vinyl covered, you would swear they were a real wood finish. They sound great and I am not sure if I will get a subwoofer. They look great in their black finish.

  • Summary: These are just OK. They are beautiful to look at and the build quality is great. However, voices are way too laid back and details gets a bit lost. I use a sub so bass is no problem. But to be fair I do like the more upfront sound of Klipsch. Still, for the price there are better offereings out there. Bottom line is this is a newer and so far untested product. Movies lose some of their impact as well.

Polk Audio TSx550T

Mike P, Crutchfield
28 February 2014
  • Summary: These speakers are very clear and natural sounding, just the way I prefer to hear music. Nothing is exaggerated, and no listening fatigue no matter what kind of music is being heard. Matches wonderfully with my Yamaha S500, Teac TN 300 turntable, and Cambridge Azur 351C CD player. Use good video cables and speaker wire to do justice to these speakers.
  • Pros: Very clear and natural sounding. Very balanced overall sound that captures all the subtle musical nuances (for example, acoustic guitars in the background) that weave in with the bolder, more up front sounds.
  • Cons: None for me!

Love these floor speakers!

KevinPizzaMan, Crutchfield
28 February 2014
  • Summary: I wanted to replace my old Technics T-400. I wanted a speaker that was neutral sounding, warm, and not too bright or harsh. With the help of a Crutchfield advisor, I decided between the Rti-A7 and the TSx-550T. I ended up with the TSx, and I couldn't be happier. Some had criticized the A7s for being a bit bright/harsh, which is something I am extremely sensitive to. The TSx sounded natural and warm right out of the box.
  • Pros: Extremely warm, even, natural sound. High-quality finish, and very little harshness, especially in the highs/mids. Easy to adjust the sound, extremely musical sounding, and very even horizontal through.
  • Cons: The low-end can is a little underwhelming in comparison to the rest of the sound; this is a nit-pick, however. Definitely the best speakers you can get for the money.
