Summary: Packaging and Setup: Arrived extremely well packed, no damage. Beautiful piano black accents and black wood enclosures. Nice silver Polk Audio badges on the base of the silk screen. Very simply to hook up, I use banana plugs but you can also use bare wire. Very secure 5 post connections with torque screw fasteners. Sound: 10/10 for sound. Crystal clear highs and crisp mids. Surprising bass response too. I paired these with a Polk CS-10 center channel.
Summary: I like these speakers, although I sometimes perceive a strange low-pitched vibration with certain deep sounds from my Denon receiver while in DTS mode. These could be caused by the source, however. Changing the mode in my receiver addresses the issue. In general the speakers sound and look great.
Summary: I bought the matching set with these (Polk Audio TSi300 5.1 Home Theater Speaker Package), teamed them with a Harmon Kardon 1065 AVR and 48BK dvd player, totally awesome! Great sounding speakers and I have had allot of nice systems in my time, this ranked up there as THE BEST SETUP I've ever had!
Summary: I lucked out and picked up these for a song! On super sale last fall 2013. Bi-Amped them with 90 watts to each set of binding posts. Cranked them for about a month and fell in love with the POLK TSi series. Since then I bought the CS20 center channel, and the TSi 400's,TSi 100's and the 440pro wi sub. Im a POLK fan for life. The TSi300's broke open into great sound after that first month. Now seven months into their break in I'm eve more impressed.
Summary: I'm a Polk fan - I have Polk outdoor speakers, Polk in-ceiling speakers, and a Polk subwoofer in the main living area. Addtionally, I already have Polk surround and center speakers, but going from 6.1 to 7.1 I was a speaker short. So I added these for front left and right channels. They added a tremendous amount of bass, enhancing a fantastic sub that I already had. They balance nicely with the smaller satellite speakers.
Summary: Not an audiophile, but I know what I like. These speakers are primarily used for a home theater set-up in a medium sized room...probably 18' x 18' but open to a larger great-room. These speakers are combined with a Polk CS10 center channel and RC80i rear speakers...and a 12" sub. I can't compare this set-up with anything else since it is replacing a non-surround set-up. There really is no comparison in that regard.
Summary: These have become my front speakers for my 3.1 home audio system, and my primary speakers for playing stereo music. There is nothing more enjoyable than sitting on the recliner, closing one's eyes, listening to a great piece of music, and imagining each instrument as the Polks project its clarity. You'd swear you were surrounded by the orchestra!
Pros: Typical Polk quality in design, manufacture, finish and sound!
