Summary: These are nice looking speakers, with an attractive cherry finish. Mine cut out at low volumes, which is a fatal flaw for classical music. If everything you listen to is at a relatively loud volume then these speakers may be fine, but if your music has a wide dynamic range then you may want to consider something higher end.
Summary: I regret buying these. I listen to an extensive range of music and have previously bought the BIC America DV62si Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Black) . These speakers are considerably cheaper than these Polks and I find them superior in every way except that the Polks are a mite smaller. I find the response of these speakers at the upper end to be sub-par. The top range is cloudy and sounds muddy.
Terrible sound quality - muffled and NO RETURNS ALLOWED

Summary: Side by side with my other speakers, including a small Tivoli that only has a CD player and tiny speakers and a very cheap Sony boom box, the Polk speakers are complete dog excrement. I'm no audiophile, but I can only assume that the others who reviewed this product are even less experienced with stereo speakers. The sound is muffled, and the treble and bass are so out of wack, there's no way to adequately adjust them.
