Summary: I was looking around for quality computer speaker setup and couldn't find any that I really like for a reasonable price. I had a extra Sony receiver laying around and decided to put it to use with some good bookshelf speakers. These are highly rated and the brand name made it an easy choice.
Pros: Clear, well built, mounting clip, bass,
Cons: Large and heavy if you don't have the room, I did but others might not.
Summary: Reviewed many entry level bookcase speakers and the Polk TSi100 speakers seemed to have good reviews and were within my price range. Sound is excellent from both CD and vinyl music sources. I picked this particular brand of speaker because of the 5 year warranty that Polk offers.
Pros: Excellent sound quality for the price, great 5 year warranty. Well built speakers
Summary: I bought these speakers unheard, but based on plenty of online research. They look great in cherry. Soundwise, though, my first impression was "meh." Powered by my 80s NAD receiver, the bass overwhelmed the mids and the sound was only rescued by the nice, crisp highs.
Summary: These speakers fit my need as a pair of rear surrounds. They sound great, not too bright nor are they warm. I adjusted the EQ on my receiver to bring down the 'tin' as most Polks have when brand new. I pushed them pretty hard on some audio rock tracks and they didn't budge or crack.
