Summary: These are very average floor standing speakers and are more than bested by the Polk RTi line of floor standing speakers in both build quality and sound. These are basically just the TSi200 bookshelf speakers in a floor model version. The difference between the Tsi line and Polk's Rti line is vast.
Couldn't ask for more for my first Home Theater setup
11 July 2013
Summary: Used these bi-amped with onk 616 as FL&R channels in my first home theater setup. Sound great, great range. Only thing I had to do was use a bit of sorbothane to decouple them from the hardwood. The rubber feet are a bit to hard for that task. Otherwise I couldn't be happier for the price.
Summary: I bought these to replace my aging pair of Polk Monitor 5Jr's which have served me well since 1987. I wanted to invest in a really nice pair of tower speakers for once, without breaking the bank and these are just perfect.
Summary: I love these speakers! No matter at what volume level, the sound is brilliant! Great punch for Heavy Metal, amazing clarity for Classical. Solid built, feels like quality. They are a bit wobbly but what else can they do? Add more weight on the bottom to stabilize it?
Summary: WOW!!! These things are a huge step up from my Bose accoustimass system. Very crisp clear sound. I combined these with six TSi100's for the surround speakers and a Polk Audio Center channel. I'm not even sure if I need a subwoofer. These things put out awesome clear bass.
