Summary: These are very average floor standing speakers and are more than bested by the Polk RTi line of floor standing speakers in both build quality and sound. These are basically just the TSi200 bookshelf speakers in a floor model version. The difference between the Tsi line and Polk's Rti line is vast. The Rti line is just so much better in every aspect of sound reproduction.
Summary: I bought these speakers going by the reviews of others and I'm glad I did. They are part of my surround system and sound fantastic.I have hardwood floors in a medium size room. This is the first time I have bought Polk products and am very impressed. I have these coupled with a Polk powered sub, Polk c-20 center, and Klipsch rear bookshelves. They are being driven with a Sony receiver delivering 100w per channel.
Great looks, Great price, Great sound, Polk Tsi 500's

Summary: I am extremely satisfied with my Polk Tsi500 speakers, that I purchased factory refurbished from Polk Audio. The speakers were in perfect condition and look great. The 500's really sound great and bring music to life. I think the bass response is adequate, but I prefer a bit more bass, incorporating a Velodyne powered sub woofer into the system , WOW !! Highs and midrange frequencies are very nicely reproduced as well.
Summary: I have been using these for a while. I have hooked them up to an old pioneer power amp, with my yamaha reciever. and a couple older denon reciever's. and my yamaha reciever, with a yamaha MX-1 power amp. I bi wire them strait from the reciever there not great underpowered. but once you give em the power they want 200 + watts they come alive! I thought they sounded best bi wired right from either of my Yamaha 765, or the 665.
Summary: These speakers simply put are outstanding. Great clarity and bass for any type of music. They are powered by an Onkyo TX-8555 Stero Receiver, a Teac CD-P650 CD Player and a Klipsch SW-110 Powered Subwoofer. Believe me this system rocks the house.
Summary: I bought these speakers refurbished from Polk Audio a few weeks back. I bi-amped these speakers to a Onkyo amp and they sound incredible. Great lows and highs with the bi-amping. I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a rich sound to both music and movies.
Summary: Sound- the best performance in the upper entry segment. I moved from a set of polk R300s to these and yes they make a huge difference in the sound. I feel the room shake during explosion and low bass sequences. They image very well..the image size increased about 2-3 times from the r300s when listening in 2 channel. I am using these with a CS20 center and the front sound stage is immense.
